Across from Ocala Palms Gated Community
We went with a large group for dinner and everyone loved their food. It is surprisingly good for a strip shopping center restaurant. The waitresses were super nice and worked hard to serve us as quickly as possible. This place is not fancy but they serve solid Italian food and the prices are very reasonable. The only room for improvement is the wine choices which were very limited and not very good. Everything else was way beyond our expectations.

Dinner tonight celebrating a Friend's Birthday. Six of us in our party, seated immediately, drinks were forthcoming, ordered our meals and while I had the Fried Calamari (Excellent) for the table, everyone was reading the menu. We settled on Chicken Florento (the wife) and Pesatore for me. Delicious, loaded with shellfish, clams, mussels and three shrimp, was very good. Our waiter - Kevin - was spot on with everything! Good job!

The wife and I stopped mainly for pizza, as we've liked it from the beginning. But a friend has been "raving" about their French Fries, so okay we'll try it. They came out hot from the fryer, crispy exterior, soft interior, with NO SALT! Wonderful. So many people are trying to cut back on Salt, besides I can then use the garlic powder instead! Very good. We also 0ordered a 16" pizza, and took half home - Yipee, lunch tomorrow! Aren't life grand?Added bonus; The staff is friendly, willing to chat, and help out with the menu.

Piesanos is a locally owned restaurant with three convenient Gainesville locations, two Ocala locations, and one location in the Villages!
We've been going here since they opened. I usually prefer local restaurants oh, there's just something about going to a local place that is relaxing and enjoyable. Most chain places feel very artificial enforced to me. Paisano's is the exception to this.Their Pizza is amazing. The crust is always perfect in an all the times we've ever gone there we only had one bad meal which they comped and replaced.Everybody there from the managers to the servers to the bartenders are very helpful and pleasant. We recommend this very highly

Pluses and minuses. This place used to be a Pizza Hut and still has that feel. The service was good but not friendly. The rolls are delicious but the House vinaigrette dressing was raspberry. Not a fave. I would have expected an Italian vinaigrette. The menu is the same as Carmineâs on 200, plus pizza that looked good. Chicken francese, Chicken parm, and veal Marsala were good. I was charged $4 for substituting vegetables for pasta. I prefer Carmineâs but would not rule out going back to Fioreâs.

Blue Highway is a a casual, family-friendly neighborhood restaurant specializing in traditional Neapolitan style pizza and calazones. Small plates, salads, paninis, sandwiches, pastas and desserts are served. A good selection of local craft beer and wine
I stopped here because of the rave reviews and the high Trip Advisor ranking. While the place is definitely overrated, the pizza was above average (barely). Not the best Iâve had but definitely not the worst. We had the thin crust with pepperoni and bacon. The crust was the best part. The rest was fine but not spectacular. The bacon wasnât as good as other places I have tried. Cheese was just okay. The service here was fast and the food came out in a decent amount of time. Atmosphere is pretty good with several TVs playing sports. There is also a bar area.

We have been to Mesa de Notte often in the past. Had not been for a while but went again on July 23rd. We were very disappointed. First of all, the rolls were different. One medium size soft roll. It use to be a hard crusted small roll with 3 or 4 of them. That roll type was also in the onion soup my wife had, and it absorbed most of the broth. I had a caesar salad. That was good. My wife had the Chicken Francese. The chicken was not pounded, and the sauce had to much lemon and was salty. I had Veal Parmigiana. The veal was not pounded and was not crispy, and the tomato sauce was terrible. Little or no flavor. If there was a new chef, then in our minds he/she failed. We will not be going back anytime soon.Hi Rene, we're sorry to hear about your visit. We take every review as a learning opportunity to provide the best dining experience possible.
