Italian restaurant which also does a few assorted German style schnitzels. Inside is typically old fashioned German decor but comfortable enough. I ate here a number of times and the food was good overall and good value. I was fortunate to experience a warm sunny evening here so sat in their outside area in the central square enjoying a beer and pizza unfortunately you have to share this area with the numerous, stinking smokers! Overall a good average Italian restaurant, worth a visit.

Waren mittags dort und haben hinterm Haus in einem schönen, groÃen Zelt gegessen. Wegen des warmen Wetters haben wir nur Salat gegessen. Diese waren gut.

The restaurant is beautifully decorated, has the right atmosphere and centrally located in the historical centre of the town. The owner is very charming and kind. The menu offers a wide variety of items. One of my table companions asked for a change to his pasta dish, which wasn't a problem at all. I ordered tagliatelle with salmon in a white wine tomato sauce. The sauce was very nice, but the tagliatelle was overcooked and the salmon was almost tasteless.

not a lot open in off season and we ended up in this little italian near the Idar-Oberstein museum for dinner. Pizza was good and the home made pasta was fabulous. Large portions. Would recommend highly.

La Piazza is a delightful Italian restaurant. The owner and his wife do a superb job of making everybody feel special and welcome. The food is wonderful! My husband loves the pizza --- it is crispy and generously topped with wonderful "goodies." I love the eggplant parmesan... But, also enjoy their pastas and pizzas. A delightful evening with good food every time we go.

Der Empfang durch die Besitzerin war sehr herzlich. Die Speisekarte hat einiges zu bieten. Das Ambiente ist ok. Preislich sehr günstig, dafür war das Essen gut. Wir haben Pizza bestellt.Durchaus eine Empfehlung wert.

This is a historical restaurant, that used to have a picture showing that it was used by the 92nd Div as headquarters during the end of the second world war. Now the Italian food is just plain delicious, plus the ambiance is outstanding.

Antonio emigrated from Italy and started this restaurant in a village outside of Birkenfeld, Germnay. The village of Ellenberg over looks Birkenfeld, hense the name Bella Vista, but not only is the view nice, but the food is very good Italian. When your done eating Antonio will set a bottle of Grappa or Cognac on the table or an after dinner drink. This is a great place to eat and socialize.
