Nuggett is great for specialty items, fabulous fresh fruits and vegetables, extensive gourmet cheese selection, fresh meats and a great bakery. Pricey, but you can't beat the selection!

I've had just about every pizza from every pizzeria in Marin.Having actually been born here in Marin and being 100% Italian, you can believe me when I tell you, Stefano's is the best. I've tried them all! Stefano's uses the freshest ingredients and does not skimp with the toppings. Their pieces of Italian sausage are huge! It is a truly delicious pizza!

We were just passing by on our way to Mendocino and can't think of any place to eat. We remembered we've stopped by this place before. Food is pretty good. Bread and pesto dipping is good. Its never too crowded when we come here so it's always nice to be seaed right away. Staff is friendly. Price is reasonable.

A good friend told me Tagliaferri's was the place to go for sandwiches in Novato and he was right. This family run deli has great sandwiches and and everything in the deli case looks great. This is a must try when in Northern Marin County.

Ghiringhelli's offers a great menu of tasty pizza combinations, but many other American dishes are offered and carefully prepared as well. Lots of beers on tap line a bar filled with sports-playing flat screens, and the dining area is a fun place to relax and eat as well.

We had been driving for hours and needed a quick lunch, imagine my surprise when I found a real pizza on the left coast. This appears to be a chain, but the pizza is quite good, the crust is thin and crunchy and the sauce and cheese were not over done.We're glad you stumbled upon us, John, and that you liked our pizza so much! This place is a bit off the main path, located in an industrial area just down the street from the humane society so more of a local place than for the traveller, the owner has other restaurants in Marin county. The theme is Italian and the food supports that, my favorite here is the chicken marsala and the pasta with green peas, Its sort of quaint and could be a good first date place or simply a good lunch or dinner spot. Service is good, it's a bit loud inside when packed, outside seating is nice, nothing to look at around here but the company so it makes for good conversation with the good food.

Listen, It's hard to find a really good restaurant in Novato so this place gets extra applause for being the best restaurant in town.Went for dinner. Trying to stay with a seafood theme. A really good appetizer was the Calamari Calabrese. Really pleased it was not the usual rubbery, breaded calamari we find at most restaurants. Nice red spicy sauce. The mussels were above average. We had seared scallops which were over-seared but still good. Others had the salmon which was under the broiler for too long but it crisped the surface a bit which is the way our family likes it. Nicely done if it was on purpose! The sides were mediocre.Desert offerings were mundane but the almond/walnut (no wheat) chocolate torte was a big hit. The lemon gelato was nicely intense. The price was reasonable. The service was below par. They just don't have enough staff.This place is no Poggio (Sausalito) or Cafe Paradiso (Petaluma) but if we want to eat locally and stay with Italian then this is a pleasant experience...especially in front of the fireplace.

We had an early dinner mid week however the place was pretty much full which speaks volume. We only had hamburgers on this occasion but they were excellent. Nice meat on the medium rare side as ordered. The Californian hamburger included bacon and fresh salad ingredients including avo. Reasonable prices and excellent service. Very well presented decor. Would like to try some of their other dishes.

The thin crust, wood fired pizza is great! Any combination! We were with a group, and several different pizzas were ordered. The Sausage & Pepperoni with Mushroom, and the Prosciutto with fresh mozzarella and arugula were the standouts. The burratta appetizer with red pepper pesto and arugula and toasted bread was outstanding. The only sour note was the special of the day, petrale sole, which was covered in just too many incredients, which overwhelmed the delicate fish. Pizzas, apps and salads are the stars here! Service was friendly and prompt, and all around positive experience.
