Al Forno Italian Restaurant is a fantastic place to meet and eat. Choose from a range of superb, fresh Italian food, beautiful wine and excellent service. Pop in for a cappuccino or a glass of wine, tuck into a fresh summer salad, grab a sandwich or sit d
Very busy and popular and highly recommended however we found very slow order was wrong and when quiered staff argued back rather than customer always right food was tasty but service not. Maybe a bad day doubt we will go back but worth a try if passing. Hi,Thank you for your review and feedback on your visit. We are sorry to here about the service you received on your visit. This is certainly not what we expect for our customers at all. We hope you can visit again and give us a chance to redeem ourselves.

We were a group of 7 and all ordered different meals. We decided to have 3 courses each as it seemed excellent value for money. My starter of spicy fishcakes were delicious, followed by chicken diablito which was a generous portion served with salad and three-times cooked chips. Not sure how I managed the sticky toffee pudding and ice cream but glad I did as it was excellent. We were all very impressed with the quality of food and will certainly come again.

We went to this restaurant on a recommendation from friends. We love making our own foods and also eating out. We have eaten out at many different types of restaurants and have also made many styles of food ourselves.Never having been to this restaurant we thought we would try out their cusine. Probably one of the worst meals we tried out. We ordered a Cannoli and a Lasange with a garlic bread with cheese and some onion rings. The Cannonli texture was that of a pancake rolled around unseasoned mince and onions with a can of raw tomatos and cheese tosses over it and baked. Absoultely tasteless. The same for the Lasange. The pasta was wet and stoggy and the same mine and onion mixute as the Cannoli. No herbs, no garlic, no seasoning ,no taste. The garlic bread was a little more edible, however if it saw much more than a rub of garlic I would be surprised. It garlic bread which was a pizza had a soggy bottom. The onion rings were nicely cooked, but a little oily. We normally would eat our meals even if it was not up to our own standard, but truely we had to leave this meal. Then to add insult to injury we went to pay the bill with a debit card to be told at the till NO CARDS ALLOWED. What!!!!! in this day and age. What sort of establishment does not accept any cards? Where does it tell you this before you go into the restaurant? You don't know they only accept cash until you pay your bill. Just as well we had cash with us. Can you imagine the embarrassment. So diners -be warned.

Neopolitian wood fired pizzeria & Enoteca serving classic and modern style fresh pizza, fried antipasti, salads & homemade desserts . Winner, Best Pizzeria English Italian Awards 2018 Gold, Best Pizzeria PAPA Awards 2018.
Wonderful evening from start to finish, we were greeted promptly and seated by our lovely server, the menu was large with lots to choose from. I was offered to try their Italian Lemonade which was very tasty and complemented my meal well. The decor is refreshing and it was nice to be able to see the large pizza oven. Their pizza is second to none, all ingredients were so fresh and tasty. Would definitely visit again!

Very friendly staff and warm welcome. Garlic mushrooms were delicious but served with a slice a cheap bread toast. Potato skins dry and tasteless, garlic sauce nice. Pizza was really salty and very tough crusts. Chicken dish was tasty but served with potato wedges which were a fatter version of the dry skins. Lasagne was terrible, a frozen one from Iceland would have more meat in it, very sloppy and all cheese. Really like having this place close by and support local businesses but not really disappointed â¹ï¸ because the service is great.

Family run Italian restaurant with a relaxed and comfortable environment kids friendly
Been meaning to try this place for ages after hearing people rave about it, drove past when we were starving and so pleased we did. For someone who loves an Italian this one was one of the best Iâve been to. Couldnât fault it, superb meal and excellent service. The spicy sauce on the meatballs was unreal. Staff really friendly and prices were spot on. Definitely be going back soon
