On a Wednesday at 2:00 PM I found myself at the bar ordering a bar pie & beer. I have been coming to this location for at least 50 years, with my friends, first the tennis, then the golf, my wife & couples then my children & now my grand kids. I have no idea of what these folks are thinking but I strongly suggest they reevaluate their business plan while they still have something of value. How do you leave this type of business unattended with nobody from ownership on site? How can you let a bartender pick up a pie from the kitchen that is obviously overdone, burnt and COLD & then serve it to a customer after the customer waited 20 minutes for it in a nearly empty restaurant, 2 other men at drinking, no food.Rather then upsetting the young lady behind the bar I ate, paid my bill, now informing All to be aware, Eddieâs is no longer what it was. How sad!

I was with a group of five. Had reservations in the loft section which offer some seclusion from the main dining floor. The stairs to go up are not steep, though you heard waitpersons drop plates (presumably with food) or glasses (may be with drinks). The wait person recites the daily specials which are quite a few. This is an Italian restaurant and has an extensive menu. A large selection of wines is also offered. The portions are ample. I have been here several times and tried out various dishes. In general, they tend to be salt heavy. Wait service is efficient and quick. Lots of free parking in the rear and you can enter the restaurant from the rear which is what most patrons do. A place to go to for a slight more formal meal.

Poppy's is a great and very popular neighborhood Italian restaurant. At times there can be quite a wait (but well worth it). The service and staff are friendly and efficient. The garlic bread, eggplant Parmesan and lasagne were delicious. Surprisingly, the bread was ordinary, not especially fresh and was not warm. The salads were generous portions and had just the right amount of dressing. Satisfying meal!

Located on Jericho Turnpike, Uncle Bacala has wonderful Italian food. The main dining room can be a bit crowded but the surrounding dining areas upstairs and downstairs are fine. The serving staff was very friendly, attentive and eager to please. The skirt steak was huge as were the chicken dishes and penne pasta, the salad was sufficient. A big dessert selection was a nice way to finish off the meal.Prices are a bit on the high side but it was a nice treat. There was valet parking but not sure if that's all the time, for large groups or only on weekends.

This is an old, family owned Italian restaurant. It is a mainstay of the area.
The food at Stellaâs is always the best quality and taste. Consistently outstanding appetizers, entrees and desserts made fresh by a wonderful pastry chef. The Cerrone family cares for the restaurant with their heart and soul. Have gone there for regular evenings and special occasions and the staff is always professional and courteous and warm. I cannot say enough about this restaurant and just recommend that you try it!!

While this is a pizzeria, the food is a cut above "pizzeria" in my book. Our party enjoyed: 1. chicken platter (grilled) which had a beautiful side salad as an option; both side salad and the platter were colorful, 2. oreganate penne, 3. baked lasagna, 4. grilled chicken hero and 5. grilled chicken parm hero as well as 6. side of broccoli (must love garlic or push it to the side). People we were with said this is one of their go-to places and the newcomers can see why. As another reviewer noted, the portions are large. Recommend.

We live in Las Vegas and it is hard to find New York style Italian food so when we visit we have Italian. We order things we can't get in Vegas like Baked claims which were delicious. The bread was fresh and wonderful. My husband and I both had veal francese and it did not disappoint. The only downside to this place was that it was SOOOO NOISY

We couldnât find anything that suited our dietary needs. I asked the bartender if we could just get some fettuccini Alfredo, nothing else, no chicken, shrimp or anything. He said âsure, this is an Italian restaurant, we will make you what you want, your way, would you like to split the order? I said that would be great. Within 10 minutes he returned with the most delicious fettuccini Alfredo I can recall. The pasta was homemade and it was a most enjoyable, reasonably priced lunch I recall. Nice job! Kudos!

There's nothing special about this place....just an average "red-sauce" Italian restaurant. The food is good but not memorable, the decor is typical "Mediterranean"....th service was very attentive...the manager/owner was extremely ;personable...the prices were fair and reasonable, the wine list extensive.
