New City Pizza came highly recommended by a few of my co-workers. In my opinion, and my father-in-law's it lived up to its reputation--and beyond, in my book! For starters, a big help is that they have take out menus on every table, which was good advertising for us! My son wanted Penne Vodka, and my f-i-l and I wanted pizza. Right on the menu was a special which included that and a salad, for $ 25.95--pretty comparable for Rockland Pizzarias, in my experience. The pizza was delicious--full of flavor and cheese, and although a little thick, had a crispy crust. The sauce was a touch sweet (Delicious!), and the ingredients seemed very fresh. The salad also seemed pretty fresh, and was, thankfully made with Romaine Lettuce. It contained no onion, which pleased my son. Although I'm not usually a fan of Italian dressing or vinaigrette, their dressing was delicious, and comes in a shaker, for you to put on yourself. My son loved his Penne Vodka, and my f-i-l, not usually such a fan, really enjoyed the taste he had. My son and I were grateful and absolutely delighted that it's not made with meat (I had forgotten to ask beforehand.)! I was also thrilled that they served milk, as that's all my son drinks! To top it all off, the workers could not be nicer or more accommodating!!It looks small and like your basic pizza place in the front, but there's a room of seating in the back. As the bathroom is through the kitchen, I got a glimpse; the kitchen looked pleasantly pretty clean! We will definitely be back!!

This is a new italian restaurant and bar located in a large shopping center. We were nicely greeted by a hostess and the first table wobbled and the second table was not clean. The restaurant has a large menu of whiskies and wines plus a number of good beers. We ordered the ragu pasta and the kale salad with chicken . The portions are generous and the food is very good. Service was friendly and attentive. If you like watching sports, sit in front and if you want to talk with friends sit in one of two back rooms. It's a noisy place because of the concrete floors and walls.Norcina is good for a casual dinner and good drinks.

The parking is in the rear as is the entrance. The location gets busy and additional parking is available next door. Upon entering, we were greeted, waited a few minutes for an available table, then seated. Menues were presented and a bread basket with small warm rolls, and sliced Italian bread was placed on the table. On the table with salt and pepper was a small bottle of olive oil. That was tasty as I placed it on the warm rolls. We ordered drinks, and the pricing for alcoholic beverages is reasonable. There are many dinner selections to choose from which include salad and pasta. My choice was eggplant parmigiana. I chose this because I recently had a frozen eggplant parmigiana and wanted to taste and see the difference. I will say that fresh is better. The food at Ella's is fresh and delicious. No reheated food here. Service was excellent and on cue with refills of drinks and breads. The restaurant is clean, and comfortable with televisions on the wall. Dinner was enjoyed by all. Nice neighborhood restaurant to at at.

Pakula's is your old fashioned pizza place that we all grew up on with several contemporary menu twists. Everyone who works at Pakula's is very friendly and eager to provide excellent service. In addition to good pizzas, hot and cold heros, and Italian entrees and creative salads, Pakula's offers a salad bar, wraps, and many different unique pizzas that are outside the box. Their prices are competitive and they provide delivery at no extra charge for local delivery.
Just ate there this evening for the first time and were very pleased. Nice, comfortable atmosphere and staff. Since they have panini in their name we had the chicken/fontina/roasted pepper and smoked salmon paninis. Both were recommended by our waitress and excellent. They also came with a small salad. My wife also had the Nutella/canolli cream crepe desert and loved it. Since the sandwiches were so good, we will go back and try some of the dinner specials.

My family has been regulars here for many years and have never been disappointed. Neither have I when visiting. Cozy Italian restaurant with superb food offerings, great service and friendly atmosphere. No matter what you order here, it's a winner. Seafood, steaks, pastas, desserts are all outstanding with generous and flavorful portions. Excellent wine list, too. Menu would rival anything you'd find in Manhattan, so make sure you stop in when you're in Rockland County. Worth a trip from anywhere.

Alfredoâs is what a restaurant should be; consistently excellent quality. Itâs small and somewhat cramped, but the great food, good service and friendliness will more than make up for the close quarters. The menu is comprehensive enough to satisfy everyoneâs cravings. The quality and quantity and appearance of the food are always very satisfying. Try the âspecialsâ and you wonât be disappointed. Alfredoâs is a genuine go-to local favorite.

Roccos has been a staple of New City for years. To start, the staff is incredible always warm and welcoming making you feel at home. The front of the restaurant provides you with a traditional pizzaria in the case you were looking for a quick slice. The are famous for their large slices and loaded toppings. Some of my favorites include the salad slice, chicken marsala, and chicken bacon ranch. If you are looking for something lighter you can never go wrong with their margarita with the fresh basil and mozzarella. The dining room provides lots of room for families to get together and have a great Italian feast. Always check their specials as they often offer great platters such as stuffed shrimp, stuffed sole and various other specialty plates. The main menu is quite extensive offering many options of chicken plates, seafood, veal and pastas. Over the years I have come to find my favorite dish "the chicken Michelangelo" which is a heaping portion of chicken parm and two pieces of their eggplant rolantini. I promise you you will not be disappointed. The entrees also include a nice house salad and a side of pasta and of course Roccos famous garlic Balls!!!! . I highly recommend the penne vodka! The portions are not just tasty but massive and when going there I am just as excited knowing I will soon have delicious leftovers as I am to actually have the first meal! All in all it is an awesome family restaurant that we will continue to enjoy going to for years to come
