We were late in, tired and just needed a light meal, the staff were friendly and so helpful and they are what made this a very special experience for us, great recomedations, they new thier stuff! and were proud of what they were doing. We were given a card by another pleasant youg man at breakfast for La Piazzetta, who also own the Bistro, I hope to get there too one day! if you can pick great people to represent your business that is a great skill too, Grazie Mille!!We were on our way but had to take a car park further away, when we walked past the Bistro on our way into Argegno via the back streets and bridge, there are no accidents this place was perfection for us, right time place etc Caio Caio!

Situato Tra Como e Bellagio con ampio parcheggio fuori dalla struttura e due terrazze vista lago, dove gustare piatti tipici, internazionali e ottime pizze.
Arrived shortly after 3 pm.Was told that kitchen was closed (although they state open until 3:30).Ordered two beers (⬠5 each for 33 cl). Minutes after serving, without asking or showing the slightest interest, they placed the bill on the table without a word.Best advice: Avoid themGood morning, thank you for your review, we apologize for the inconvenience.unfortunately, it is a time in which the shift change occurs and to avoid errors the waiters on duty have the task of not leaving accounts pending before ending their working hours.the cost of the beers is to be attributed to the table service and to the stop on the terrace overlooking the lake without any time limit.it would have been different if you had consumed the beers at the bar.as you said the kitchen closes at 3.30pm so it is impossible to take orders at 3.15pm.we have a menu with cold dishes for the afternoon and always between 15 and 18 the waiters propose this solution in order to satisfy our customers anyway even if the kitchen is closed.I guess you didn't understand each other. We always receive very positive reviews on the kindness and availability of our staff. We are sorry if there were any misunderstandings and we hope that there will be a new opportunity to satisfy you at best.Kind Regards Francesco

On our first night in the town of Lezzeno on Lake Como, tired from a full day of exploring in Varenna, we elected to stay close to our rented apartment for dinner. The Trip Advisor reviews concerning Crotto del Misto combined with the recommendation we received from the manager of our rental apartment made Crotto del Misto a good candidate for our evening repast. The entrance to the restaurant is down a lengthy driveway below street level. On this trip to Italy, we were accompanied by my 93 year old mother-in-law. To say the least, the walk down the steep driveway presented a bit of a challenge. We entered and were pleasantly greeted and escorted to a table flanked by a wall of windows looking out over Lake Como. It was just before sunset and as the sun went down the view got increasingly dreamy with the lights of the towns across the lake sparkling in the night and reflecting off the water. Ambiance "A+".We were served by two extremely friendly and efficient individuals who attended to our every request. Between the four members of our group, I believe we sampled appetizers, the local fish, pasta and meat dishes. The house wine was excellent. At the end of our meal I enjoyed a tasty espresso and we were all treated to complimentary Limoncello after dinner drinks - superb!Food and Drink "A"After enjoying this beautiful venue and such excellent food and drink, we didn't think the night could get any better. That was until our waiter went above and beyond his duties by offering to bring his small SUV down the narrow and precipitous ramp to give my 93 year old mother-in-law a ride back up top to where our vehicle was parked. It is this very type of consideration, kindness and basic chivalry that makes me so very proud of my Italian heritage. Kindness and Courtesy "A++"I can guarantee any reader of this review that my next visit to northern Lake Como will undoubtedly include a visit to Crotto del Misto. They have earned both my loyalty and my respect.

Made enquires last year to hold my husbandâs birthday here with 19 guests and Giulia could not be more helpful. She forwarded menus to chose from and kept me posted when the restaurant closed for refurbishment. We arrived by boat to be amazed by this beautiful restaurant set on the water. From the moment we arrived and were greeted by Giulia to the time we left, we were made to feel special . The food was outstanding ,as was the service and the view. I cannot thank you all enough for such a wonderful night. We will be talking about it for a long time to come . Again another huge thank you to Giulia for your help with everything.

Delicious food, with a beautiful outdoor area. Wonderful and gracious staff who even gave us a tour of the wine cellar and a history lesson on what is possibly the oldest restaurant in Europe. The staff and I thank you for your words. Old and young in the same time: we reopened on June 20th. We are proud to have had you as customers

You can tell that you are close to Swizerland since there almost no places to eat. We tried at least five restaurants which were all closed. At last, we found this one and had a nice plattet of salami and prosciutto.

After researching TA, I wanted to book a reservation here immediately since we were going on a Saturday night. I called the restaurant about three weeks before our travels and ended up communicating with chef Paolo through What's App. Paolo said the place was about 25 minutes from our hotel in Lezzeno. I didn't think that was a big deal until we arrived and the hotel said a taxi would be 90 euros ONE WAY to get there because it was winding roads and straight up hill. (Lesson learned, renting a car in Lake Como is probably a good idea). So I communicated with Paolo that it didn't make sense to pay 180 euros for transportation. He then quoted us a much lower price for both ways, and then sent Marina (his mom? not sure) to come get us. Now THAT is service! We had one of the best meals of our entire trip. Plus, the view!!! He split the Beef Carpaccio into two generous portions, same with the Pea and Mint Gnocchi. Both were fabulous. Then are main dishes were some of the most tender meat we have ever had; the Suckling Pig, and the Beef with Polenta. It was a nice change from all the fish we had been eating. The service was attentive and friendly (Paolo's girlfriend) and we got to visit with the family at the end. What and exquisite experience we had all around. I would highly recommend seeking a way to get to Bella Vista.Dear Mrs AmyThanks so much for a such of nice review. We hope maybe to see u again in the future. Thanks again from all us. All the bestPAOLO
