My girlfriend and I were attending a private clothing label viewing at the Quest and happened upon this restaurant for a "pre viewing" glass of wine. After the meeting, we ventured back for dinner. The service was fantastic and we wanted for nothing the entire experience. We ordered the Beef tartare, Mussels and the Seafood Fettucini to share. It was recommended that we dine on the fettucini after the entrees. The beef was ok, no gherkins or capers mixed through, no egg yolks either. The mussels were tasty, cooked to perfection, served in an Italian seasoned tomato sauce. Bellisimo! The seafood fettucini was tossed in the exact same Italian seasoned tomato sauce! So, that was not so original or different.I would have preferred to be informed that the sauces were the same in the mussels and the fettucini. Then I would have appreciated something else, with a very different base, be recommended to me for the main course.I will go again and give it another try. The owner was charming, the menu was extensive enough for me to give it another go sometime soon.

Our family of four has dined at Dough several times over the past year enjoying the relaxed Italian kitchen atmosphere, good quality thin crust dough pizzas and the beef cheek lasagne, however this was the first time we’ve visited since its recent change of hands.Having seen Doughs profile lifted on social media recently we thought we must visit again which we did tonight. On arrival we were promptly greeted and shown to a table which we appreciated as we did not have a booking. Before reaching our table the waitress called out to us and pointed to the counter telling us that was where the non alcoholic beverages were, which then lead me me to asking if they had a wine list as I then wondered if they still had a licence, the waitress then responded pointing at a piece of paper, firmly enough it made an abrupt noise - unprompted she then recited to our table the 4 beers they had available in quite a loud voice and briskly left our table - we were not keen to order beer however were keen to order a wine and sparkling water, which we managed to order a few minutes later however disappointingly they did not have large bottles of sparkling water available which means laying a fortune for a small bottle. My wine arrived which seemed a short pour well under the D mark on the wine glass, which wasn’t helped by the fact then noticed another tables was considerably above the D line - perhaps some training on this could help the consistency level. We all ordered different pizzas and were happy with our pizzas, although it was a bit odd upon asking for Parmesan the waitress went into the kitchen to refer to the pizza chef, following which both looked towards our table , and then both went out to the back room possibly seeking out the Parmesan with the waitress half tripping on a big sheet of blue plastic on the way which was covering a pile of something (appeared to be bit of a H&S hazard) - the Parmesan then turned up and was presented in a generous white bowl - was left a bit wondering why there was such a cafuffle to provide such a common pizza garnish .On arrival the modern music playing was off putting and had no relevance to Italian whatsoever, (eg: one of the tracks was Zara Larson and MNEK) we found it unpleasant to the point it bordered on making us want leave ...it felt like the cosy Italian kitchen had lost its heart - even my 10 year old daughter noticed ....it seemed the music playing was chosen to appeal to the restaurant staff versus the guests dining ... getting the music right is a crucial ingredient to the success of any restaurant and I really hope attention to this aspect is considered more carefully in the future.Upon finishing my first glass of wine it took several minutes to get the attention of the waitress (who was talking on and off for extended periods to a gentleman sitting alone), to request another glass of wine - once I caught her attention she promptly delivered another glass. After finishing our pizzas my daughters were keen to order desert, however we waited and waited to order without being able to get anyone’s attention so decided to settle the bill at that.Summary: -pizzas were good, the dough a lovely thin crust - the topping portions fair, however my daughters pepperoni a was a bit oily - waitress; I believe a valid opportunity exists for further training especially around timing and delivery of the menu/relevant drink list information, offering Parmesan/condiments, checking wine pour consistent, being more mindful of diners finishing mains and offering the opportunity to view a desert menu - aesthetics: liked the festive wreath across the side wall with children’s artwork attached, would be great to see more of an Italian flavour in the overall decor offering more personality, eg the red and white checkered table cloths used outside would help create this.I hope these constructive observations taken from first hand experience are helpful to enhance the potential of this great little kitchen.
