The best part about going back to this restaurant is that you know the standards are still at a very high level.Once again service was great from a variety of staff, the meals were superb - lamb outstanding and pork very good. Starters were good and dessert divine. A great experience, a great restaurant and all the food plus a great bottle of Italian vino for a tick under $160. So they still, after many years - have the balance so right in regards to service, food quality and pricing - which doesn't always happen in Perth.Long may they continue.

The Fremantle Icon people who own and manage this catering and restaurant business probably need to decide whether the restaurant - apart from logistics for delivery and preparation - is doing more harm than good. The food is expensive and my recent experience of an early dinner with friends was disappointing. The place is functional but vacuous; the service excellent; the prices high and occasionally as in my case the 'main' meal at $25.50 for a couple of homemade triangles of non-al dente pasta (as admitted by the waitperson) plus watery flavourless sauce ... is not a good look or taste (maybe better an entrée at $15? or 'beef/ricotta' up the volume and number of pieces, enrich and reduce the sauce). My friends like it because the 'rustic' European dishes offered remind them of family cooking ... but for the modern diners there needs to be a focus on the restaurant presentation and less on the giant external catering for local football clubs etc - or separate management and venue. Pity, the waitpersons are friendly, knowledgeable and the actual service is good and has been for some time - the worry is while we were there a whole family near our group walked out ... sadly about $300 worth of custom and potential return custom with them - or another sign that things are not quite right? Come on Numero Uno! ...back to number one?

Italian family owned Caffé and Lunch Bar in the heart of Fremantle. Authentic, traditional and genuine Italian food.
When in Fremantle, donât go past this little gem. Amazing fresh and authentic Italian. In-house gnocchi is best Iâve ever had. So fluffy and light. Other dishes looked and smelled great too. Each one of us was extremely satisfied with our choice. We actually had a family argument over whoâs dish was the best. We will definitely be going back. Experience was topped off with the Great friendly service. Thank you very much! We are happy you enjoyed our gnocchi and our traditional Italian food! And thank you from all of us for your kind words about the friendly service!RegardsAda and Giorgio

A Fremantle icon for over 20 years, you cannot go past Sandrino for traditional Italian, Mediteranian and modern Australian cuisine. With the same owners for more than 15 years, the restaurant prides itself on traditional techniques and quality ingredient
I had a pizza with prosciutto, buffalo mozzarella, basil, etc. It was excellent. The amount of prosciutto on the pizza was lavish. I go there regularly and the pizzas are always great. My partner had an enormous dish of chilli mussels served with three generous slices of garlic bread - tasty and great value at $30. Nice Xanadu Chardonnay and good Madfish Cab Sav Merlot are available by the glass. Service was great.Hi Lizzie,Thanks so much for the excellent review. Its always great to see our woodfired pizzas get the appreciation that they deserve. And who doesnât love a generous serve of chilli mussels? All our wines, both local and imported, are available by the bottle or glass. And we have rotating chef specials to keep you interested each and every visit. Hope to see you again soon. Serving pasta and traditional schnitzel with a fusion of new flavours.
We were actually heading for the Japanese restaurant next door but we went in the back door, which we thought was the Japanese, sat down and got settled. Then I looked up and saw the olive and Oscar sign! Oops! They were busy but brought water and menus pretty much straight away. So we had a look at it and decided it looked tempting. Waiter came to tell us specials and they sounded good. So we ordered. It was really yummy! We shared an arrancini and a pasta dish. Delicious. Only a small place and it filled quickly. People were being turned away. Unexpected find but will go back!

We called in without a reservation one rainy evening and they were most obliging and quickly found a table for us. The pizzas turned up quickly and were excellent. The range of pizzas is good and the rest of the Italian-themed menu look equally appetizing. Judging from the size of the crowd in there on a mid-week night, this is the place to go for Pizza in and around Applecross.

The best restaurant in Perth according to the guests reviews and to the food critics' verdicts. Stylish interior, high quality in house-made Italian food, irresistible desserts, and extensive wine list. The venue also accommodates functions upon request.
Setting and service were excellent. Very cosy, friendly and warm atmosphere. I had the crab squid ink pasta which didn't blow my mind (not much crab meal at all), but still very tasty. Gnocchi was also tasty, but not one of the best I've had.Ciao, thank you so much for visiting our restaurant!Glad you loved the taste and the atmosphere. Thank you for your feedback. Looking forward to your next visit and trying more of our dishes. Please, feel free to advise on the day to us or to the chef what do you think on the food. We are always happy to chat.Have a nice evening. Inna and La Sosta family.
