Stopped here at the end of a day in Venice, and were pleasantly surprised by how good it was!We expected a low-grade imitation 'English pub', with greasy food and terrible drinks. But whilst they've gone overboard in decorating the place with English decorations and theming, the food, drink and service were excellent.Highly recommended!

We had a dinner at Amburgharia the first night of our stay in Mestre. Overall good place, friendly stuff, creative menu, nice interior. My husband had burger with pork and spinach( can't remember name) and I had tricolore ( vegetarian). His burger was perfect, fresh, tasty, warm. Mine was tasty too but patty was kinda cold and bun wasn't fresh. Otherwise it would be 5 stars. Just when you go there don't take vegetarian one :) Dear Kinga, thank you for your review. We apologize if the vegeterian burger was below your expectations and we are sorry that you did not inform us immediately. We would have made up things right away by changing it :-)Thank you again for your time and advices to improve us and for appreciating our place and service.A greeting from Amburgheria Staff

At "all'ombra del gabbiano" we work to do our best to offer an high level ethical and quality service, in order to answer the needs of our customers.
Had amazing dinner experience at this neighbourhood restaurant. We ordered falafel & hummus for starters...it was so good! For main we got the tuna wasabi pasta...amazing flavours! And save the best for the last....for dessert we got the strawberry cheese cake...to die for! Overall 11/10 for the experience...love everything about this place highly recommended! Dear Jasvin, it was a huge pleasure for us to read your outstanding review. Thank you for your visit and for your kind words. We hope you to have enjoyed everything during your staying in Venice and to see you again in the future. Best regards

First floor: italian restaurant. Fish is our specialty. Cakes and pasta are made ââby us! Ground floor: italian aperitif with homemade snacks.
I'm sure the tapas and drinks on the terrace and downstairs are fun, but the upstair dining was not as amazing as i hoped after reading the reviews...We arrived to a terrace full of Italians, super busy, good vibe! But the food upstairs was not impressive. We ordered tuna steaks, low quality and quit tasteless. The black and gold risotto was avarage. The wine was good tho.

One of the better seafood eating experiences that we've ever had! Although the restaurant is small and in a section of town that is possibly not the best, it is well worth a visit if you are in the Venezia area. We found the menu to be exciting, effectively showcasing the best seasonal shellfish and finfish from nearby Venice Lagoon and the Adriatic Sea. The raw appetizers were particularly wonderful, and a great introduction to Venetian cuisine. Even the desserts and liquor selection (20 year old Scotch? who would have thought?) were splendid. The small space was cleverly designed and decorated, and the staff very welcoming, knowledgeable, and passionate about good food. We ended up going two nights in a row since we were so impressed, and didn't think we could find a comparable meal for the price (which was not cheap, but reasonable for what you get).

A very nice small place where you can find typical venetian food called "cicchetti" (Tapas). Famous in town is frequently full local people. Many finger foodd is prepared every day from the staff. Fresh home made pasta and cakes from the mummy's kitchen.
We (my wife, son and I) ate there one night in late May and it was good enough to come back the next night. Supper reservations appear to be necessary as both nights the only people who were given seat inside while we were there had them (one group that just barged in and sat down was chased out by a small woman weighing about 60 kilos -- a sight to see!), and the place was packed the full 90 minutes or so that we were there. These people know how to cook. I'm not an Italian food expert, so I won't join the traditional/tourist food debate that I've seen in some of the reviews. All I know is that all of the food we had was better than good, including one of the best meals out of a total of about 30 days in Italy, Nortn and South. It's not Cheap Eats, but the prices are reasonable for the quantity and quality of what they serve. The wait staff is fantastic, especially given the pressure under which they had to operate. If you don't want to or can't do a sit-down meal, there is a considerable variety of tapas-like food that you can order and eat outside. Each night we went through quite a scrum of people (nice, happy after work atmosphere; almost like a party that I would not have minded joining) to get inside.I'd be eating there tonight except I'm about 5000 miles away.

It's a very typical Venetian bar, where you can find delicious fresh seasonal seafood finger foods with tasty wine. I strongly recommend it! Super

Plenty of places to eat in the area but found this gem of a place. Had the Carbonara which was excellent and my wife had the tagliatelle bolognelse, just as good. Service was fantastic and very reasonably priced. 2 mains, 2 deserts, 2 alcholic drinks and water for less than â¬60. Would highly recommend for a good evenings meal. Thanks

We are in holiday in Italy and we found this place local to our hotel and thought we would give it a go and we are glad we did! Upon entering we were asked if we were English (we are) to which the polite and friendly lady at the counter brought forward her colleague that spoke English to show us the different types of pizza and different types of toppings! I would honestly reccomend this place to anyone that is nearby! Best pizza in italy.
