Francesco is a place with passion for receiving at home people who would like to visit us and to be spoil with our dishes. Passion, creativity, sensitivity and love inspire each creation and this is translated into flavors, aromas and freshness. Francesco
We were surprised to see people dining in very casual (swim suit?) dress. The food is very good. We did not have reservations, but managed to get a table outside. The prices are high, but the food is very good. If you want to splurge one time in Mendoza, this is the place.The_Schaefers, We work every day to offer a great experience in Francesco Ristorante. Thanks for the great review!!! Looking forward welcome you again!!!

This cozy restaurant in central Mendoza features 'home-cooked" Italian-style dishes, reasonably priced local wines, and friendly service. Portions are so large one of each serves two hearty eaters. For starters, we ordered chorizo, a Spanish-style potato tortilla, and provolone cheese with tomato. We split two main courses of ravioli and veal schnitzel topped with cheese. All were very good. We were too full for desert.

We ate here twice while in Mendoza - once for lunch and returned for dinner the next day because we were impressed. Excellent service, all the staff were very friendly and professional. The pasta was delicious and fresh. I had the lasagne bolognese which was delicious, and my boyfriend had the sorrentinos which was also so tasty. We returned for bife de chorizo the next night, which was cooked to perfection! It is very reasonable for the food and service you get. Simple restaurant without any fuss!

We really enjoyed our pizza, which was the "reccomended" one with mushrooms and pancetta and egg. Very tasty. And the desert shots were nice too. Good variety. And the free sourdough bread beforehand was some if the best we've had on our long trip here. Highly recommended.

From our experience, the townspeople come here for a special occasion (a grandmother was celebrating her birthday with around 20 members of her family). The place is well appointed, on the first floor of the town's Social Club, the service is professional, and the food is good. We had two dishes. One was called "Pasta Symphony" and consisted in gnocchi, ravioli and fettucini topped by three different sauces (spinach, tomato and bechamel) forming the Italian flag. It was superb. The other dish was a steak, topped with bacon and a red wine sauce and with a side order of fried yam. Both were good quality, although the steak was a bit overcooked. The prices were reasonable. If you are looking for gourmet food, go to the fancy restaurants in the area, and to the wineries. If you are looking for affordable dishes, go to Don Tomás, the name of the restaurant.
Que delicia poder ter um almoço neste pitoresco local! Atendimento muito simpático, local belíssimo, comida de linda apresentação e mesmo gostosa demais! Belos vinhos para acompanhar e a paisagem de emocionar!

We popped into Ditommaso on the way through Maipu. Just in time for a tour we managed to ascertain (our Spanish is embarrassing) we took the wine flight, and tour of the vineyard in English with our very helpful guide. Really interesting little setup, quite different to the huge, shiny Bodegas. Ditomasso is more or less made for tourism, lovely vineyard and very informative. We had lunch with wine for not a lot of money. Really simple, really good fresh pasta dishes. Exactly what you need for a day of wine tasting. We ummed and arrred about whether to take some wine and decided against it in the end, a mistake as it is basically only available from the vineyard, it would've made a great souvenir.

Located in the Maipu farm, in front of the olive mill and extraction area with the latest technology and only feet from the olive plantations, Pan y Oliva is the second gastronomic enterprise of the Zuccardi Family and is a part of the ample touristic off
Very good food. A good variety of choices, especially for vegetarians and a wide choice of Zuccardi wines. 30 minutes drive from downtown Mendoza.
