Nice, fresh vegetables, good Italian style, big portions, not expansive. Candles & fresh flowers on the tables. We enjoyed it!

My understanding is that this restaurant is relatively new.The problems started when our waiter took the order for three pizzas by memory. Twenty minutes later 1/3 pizzas arrived correctly, person 1 ate.30 minutes later pizza two arrived.1 hour later pizza 3 arrived. I will never know why the orders were not expedited. Some free drinks and one free pizza was offered.Quality of the pizza was excellent. To summarise I felt like I was in a TV show and much needed staff training is required.Ciao,Just a short note to say how very sorry we are! We do understand your annoyance. We canassure you that we take your complaint seriously and will do our best to put things right. There can sometimes be hiccups, especially when we are full to capacity. We are delighted, that you enjoyed our best best pizza. Best wishes,The L´Osteria Team

I am Italian and I use to spent a lot of my time in Magdeburg mainly due to my work. I have been once in the "Ciao Ciao" Restaurant, altought they sell them as Italian they are not Italians and do not cook italian food.So if you just need x kilo calorie just for living you can also eat to "Ciao Ciao" but if you want eat Italian do not go there.

Food is really not good! Came here last night and ordered a risotto that was more like rice floating in a bland sauce! But gave benefit of the doubt and returned tonight! Pizza! The motto above the pizza station is "in thin crust we trust", it should read "in under topped, under cooked we trust"! Not going to be returning!

Despite the place being packed and our reservation (made by the hotel) was not noted, they managed to get us a table on a Saturday evening within 5 minutes. The food was great and the staff very friendly. They have a wide selection of dishes, and pizza as well. The value for money is excellent, in fact we think that the place is quite cheap.Cuochi per Caso alone is worth going to Magdeburg for.

We visited Amici for the second time last night and were not disappointed. The antipasti sharing plates are packed with delicious meat, cheese and vegetables crafted into Italian favourites. The pasta main course was just right, all homemade pasta with a rich wild boar raggu. My only issue with this restaurant is that they do not offer a printed menu (food or drink), so you are given a run down by your waiter. This gives you limited time to decide on your choices and also leaves you in the dark about prices (although it is very reasonably priced; around 13 euro for a pasta dish). I would be happy to eat here again !

Popped in here for a meal before the (very near) Opernhaus. Forgot that Germans smoke everywhere, and the pretty terrace was stunk out with tobacco. Soon forgot that, however, when my fine dunkelbier and food arrived. I had chosen mushrooms stuffed with spinach and gorgonzola, cooked with mozzarella and something which made a delicious sauce. 7.90e. I dont eat veggie that often, but this was a five star winner! My companion had a very tasty schnitzel .. and we bowled off to the theatre highly delighted and prepared to return AFTER the theatre ..Which we did. This time, we sat indoors, with friends from the theatre, but alas! I was too full to try a second dish of scrumptious champignons. But I made sure the others did!A must visit next time in Magdeburg ,,

Il vero Italiano! This place is fantastic. The family that runs it is Italian. Nino Sardella was a chef in Torino, Italy, and Marcello Mastroianni was a customer, thus the name of the restaurant. This is Nino's La Dolce Vita. Look for the photo of a much younger Nino and Marcello. Nino and his wife and their son run the restaurant. The food is excellent Northern Italian fare that includes fish dishes. The finest is the catch of the day prepared in a saltzmantel, a coating of salt. The salt is removed and the fish deboned table side. It is one of the best fish dishes I have ever had anywhere. There is a wine menu, but we were perfectly happy with the house wine, which is served in colorful ceramic pitchers, either half or full liter sizes. Their grappa di Barolo is exceptionally smooth. The ambiance is wonderful. Lush green plants grow everywhere, and the décor is pleasantly Italian. Mrs. Sardella is an artist, and many of the walls are decorated with her paintings. We first visited Nino's in 2005 when I was a visiting professor in Magdeburg. We spent another semester there in 2007 and we ate there every week. We returned for a short visit in 2012, and except that we were all a bit older, nothing had changed. It is located just north of the University campus on a quiet residential street. Yes, this is truly the good life.

Great steakhouse run by an Italian family. Serves dry-aged beef, and all sorts of other delicacies. Friendly waiter, quick service, good food. Prices ok for the quality.
