Find out what Italian restaurants to try in Lucerne. Lucerne is an ancient town with strikingly modern sensibilities. One of Europe’s oldest covered bridges serves as its centerpiece, and fresco-adorned historic houses line the streets, but it’s also home to the cutting-edge KKL, a concert hall and art gallery. Take the cableways up the Pilatus, Stanserhorn or Rigi mountains for breathtaking views, or see Lake Lucerne on a steamship cruise.

Without reservations at 19:30 we got the only unreserved table, outside in a great courtyard. The waiter was very friendly even though we ordered a minimum amount in this higher end Italian restaurant. The clientele all seemed to be German or French speaking, so I assume locals or European tourists. We had a pasta dish and grilled Bream, both absolutely delish. The wine selection was excellent. If you have a few days in Lucerne, find this place on the other side of the river from Old town, and a block or so into the area.

Casa Tolone with its family-owner atmosphere and welcoming patron is a very nice and comfortable italian restaurant. No pizza but classics with little fancy attitude. We had great artichoke and vitello tonnato with a light white that did not see a refrigerator before. Friendly, sometimes a bit disoriented service but always with charme. We will for sure return as we love the atmosphere and easy cuisine. Not cheap but worth it.

Italian Restaurants have a long tradition in Lucerne. We are the newcomer and are responsible for pursuing this tradition in combination with creating new influences and ideas. We serve typical italian dishes like Nonna did and reinterpret them. It's a gr

We ate here twice and can't say enough good things about this place. The food was fresh and lovingly prepared. The prices were more than fair in a expensive city. The service was friendly and not pushy. The neighborhood was wonderful for an after dinner stroll. Don't miss the PIZZA!

Made in Sud was the restaurant on Obergrundstrasse 26 before we took it in August 2016. We took over the name, the locality and the Italian cuisine and made a lovely restaurant with mainly Italian menus. We also kept the delivery service and extended the
Came here from recommendation of TripAdvisor, and mostly had a great time! The food tastes great - pasta comes in a small portion, while pizza comes in a large portion. Normally, I'd think service is great, but a couple of big groups drew the attention of the waiters, and meant that we were left waiting for a while to order. In addition, the place was incredibly hot and uncomfortable to sit in - we were lucky to get seats near the door for some ventilation! Overall, it serves great food, but quality of service needs improvement.

Read some wonderful reviews & decided to go for dinner, weekends were quite busy- so went back again on weekday, were definitely impressed! Chef recommended their speciality of flavored ravioli with sage butter sauce & seasonal vegetables- fantastic suggestion! Colorful & flavorful meal! Charming little place - Great food & light on the pocket! Definitely coming back whenever we return to Lucerne!

Iâm from a city that is proud of its Italian heritage and its pizza (Chicago), so my standard is high. The pizza here is very good. Probably the best Naples style prosciutto credo that Iâve had. Service was very friendly and helpful. Very good menu selections.

Extraordinarily good food.Other than what is on the chalkboard inside the restaurant, there is no menu or wine list. The four course fixed price menu is what they are serving that day. Our first course was a delectable mixture of seared tuna, zucchini, capers, olives, lettuce, radicchio and who knows what else. The second course was a lemon, burrata ravioli in a butter sauce that was delicate and delicious. Third came a steak and potatoes with small pieces of rosemary, chives, eggplant, roasted peppers, kohlrabi and more. The dish was outstanding. For dessert we were served a delightful passion fruit mousse accompanied by passion fruit. By in large, the offered wines were Italian and reasonably priced. The four course menu was CHF 75 per person. We sat outdoors on the patio, but there is indoor seating as well. Service was very good.
