La Campana Italian restaurant and bar offers an exciting blend of traditional and modern italian cuisine with Scottish influences, as well as fine wines, all served in elegant surroundings. La Campana (which means âThe Bellâ) opened in 2007 in Bellsquarry
Unfortunately we must have visited the restaurant when the lovely staff were off duty. The woman front of house who served us was extremely unprofessional, rude and showed absolutely no customer service skills what-so-ever. I will never visit the restaurant again and will never recommend it to anyone else which is a pity because I had heard good things about the food.
We visited Barleo for the first time this month for my birthday meal. If youâre looking to go please make a reservation as it was extremely busy. Overall I enjoyed our visit, great atmosphere, attentive service and (mostly) delicious food however I was left disappointed by the price / portion sizes of the starters paying £7 for 4 small stuffed mushroom and a drizzle of sauce. Also two of my guests ordered from the set menu and their dishes were significantly smaller and cold in comparison to ours.
Wonderful little restaurant. Friendly service and delicious food. Portions are super generous which is great for our big eaters. The pizza base was super tasty and all the ingredients tasted so fresh. Best thing: light profiteroles .... Heaven! Nice restaurant.

Pitstop on the way back to Edinburgh from Blair Drummond Safari Park & needed to feed ourselves plus a 10-year old with Gluten-Free diet who likes Italian food. Happy to report that GF was no problem for the pepperoni pizza which went down a storm, as did the Lucca ice-cream based milkshake. We enjoyed the aubergine penne and the gnocchi, the latter the recommendation of the helpful (Italian) waitstaff.Good value + tasty = full marksApparently it will be changing its name to suit its new owner. I hope I can find it again ...
