This restaurant was close to our b n b, we thought we would give it a try. Brucetta was amazing. We both chose from the polish choices and were not disappointed the food and service was amazing. It was that good we decided to visit the second night of our stay we were that impressed. This place is soo worth a visit

ASK Italian in Lincoln is a place for great food and warm service. Think fresh bread made to tear and share. A glass of fine wine worth deserving of your time. Delicious main dishes prepared the traditional way. Everything we know and love about Italian f
We popped in for some late lunch but Iâm sorry to say late lunch turned into early evening leaving as the service was so incredibly slow. The food was ok but nothing to shout about and this probably wouldnât be so disappointing if we didnât have to wait for such a lengthy time to be waited on and for our food to be delivered.

Weâre in our late 70s and found this restaurant to be most appealing. Plenty of space and well organised tables offering large and small parties a suitable place. The service was outstanding, pleasantly chatty, informative and full of smiles. We chose soups, a fish dish and risotto which were delivered promptly but without pressure, and every effort to make sure we appreciated our time there. Come again? Certainly :-)Smileysussex22, we're happy to hear you had such a positive experience with our team, and that you enjoyed your meal! We look forward to your next visit! Thanks from all the team here, Alison

Cafe Zoot is a privately owned business opened in 2000, located in the heart of historic Lincoln. During this time we have become renowned for consistently offering quality produce at great value, where a lively atmosphere is commonplace and friendly staf
Came here for my 30th birthday meal with my boyfriend. Unfortunately it was a real let down. The food was average and the ambience was non existent. The Craig David playlist seemed an odd choice and the music was switched off just after 9pm. Our waitress Matza was dismissive and at the end of our email we were subject to her singing âcome on, come onâ to her colleagues in a desperate and unprofessional attempt for us to leave so she could go home. Incredibly disappointing experience and we regret paying the full bill for our evening.

We are a family run bistro in the idyllic steep hill location, offering modern interpretations on retro dishes. With the finest seasonal produce and relaxed, welcoming service at the heart of what we do, we simply want you to feel at home here too.
On our last day in Lincoln, my partner and I went into this restaurant. The menu outside looked promising. Why? Each dish was apparently simple and I quickly found some savoury items I would go for. When I asked about the dressing for 'buffalo mozzarella, tomato and avocado', the waitress said "It is a pesto dressing". Perfect! When the dish arrived I found very little of the items described on the menu (and the pesto dressing) on top of a large pile of some kind of sweet chutney (not on the menu?!) When the waitress came to collect the plate with the chutney pile, I told her about my diabetes, As main, I had 'meat cheese and chutney', which I ordered without chutney. So, I expected meat and cheese. What I got was, again, a small amount of meat and cheese covered in a plethora of dips, dollops, chutneys, apple and beetroot cubes, a croquette, etc etc. Think of a diabetic Jenga, as I tried to carefully lift pieces of meat off the plate without covering them in sauce. Honestly, I was exhausted after this 'meal', not any fuller than when I entered the restaurant and almost in tears. The waiter apologised for the chutney, but then asked me, whether I want dessert (no, want to see pictures of diabetic feet??) I just wanted to leave asap. This really was the worst restaurant experience in a long time.

The outside does not look very impressive, just like a terraced house- which I suspect it was once. But inside the reception , food and service are well up to the mark. You really feel that you are getting a slice of Italy. We ate mainly the specials of the day Osso Bucco, pasta with clams and, the star of the show, Arancini (rice balls)- not had such good ones except at a street food stall in Sicily. We arrived early and it appeared quiet, but shortly the place filled and many of the guests were greeted as old friends- I suspect a lot of repeat customers here, and I would come back if I lived in the area- everything we ate was delicious and I felt it was genuine Italian. Originally selected this restaurant because of good TA reviews and I agree with them.

10/10 would recommend. Food is fresh and delicious and staff are really friendly. Great atmosphere and very busy considering it's just off the high street. The menu is really extensive and I'd recommend the Tuscan pork and bean casserole. Will be back to try their Pizza Night on Friday as I've heard their pizzas are the best in Lincoln :)

We are an authentic, family-run coffee bar bringing Italian coffee culture to Lincoln. Serving freshly made biscotti, pastries, gelato, pizza & different lunch specials each day. We open late for private parties and functions for up to 30 people.
Bar Unico is situated in a picturesque square a few yards from Lincoln High Street. My wife and I went there one hot Sunday lunch time but found that all the seats were taken. There are some public benches outside but we decided to go elsewhere. We did find a few empty tables there on a recent lunch time visit. The atmosphere was relaxing and we were soon served by a very attentive waitress. We ordered a âpranzoâ ( a choice of 3 specialist breads with a choice of 3 fillings. These and 2 coffees soon arrived and we pronounced everything as delicious. My wife remarked that the cafe was wheelchair friendly. One thing is for sure, when we fail to find an empty table the next time we go, weâll sit on one of the public benches until one is available.Recommended!
