Find out what Italian restaurants to try in Limerick. There once was an Irish city… You might think "naughty poem" when you hear the word Limerick, but in truth the city inspires so much more than just knowing giggles. Medieval castles and churches give the city a grand feel, while the pubs crawl with lively locals and students who are all craving just one more pint of Guinness. The Hunt Museum boasts a collection of pieces from history's most important and influential artists, while the Foynes Flying Boat Museum will marvel visitors of all ages with its whimsical flying machines.

Went for dinner with colleagues while in limerick for business. One of my colleagues recommended this gorgeous ( but small) Italian restaurant. We all had the early bird. The stuffed mushrooms were to die for. Main course choices offered fillet of beef with no surcharge. Amazing. We had lemon tart and crumble to finish. What is really unbelievable here is that for 25 Euro we had a three course meal. The fillet was perfectly cooked as ordered. Had a great chat with the owners dad before leaving. A true gentleman. This place is not high end. Decor from the seventies, but that is what I loved about the place. Great cooking. I will be back.

Three of us called into the Piccola for an informal meal.C ordered a PIZZA MARGHERITA, B ordered the FETUCCINE ALFREDO and I ordered the HOME-MADE CANNELLONI.For drinks C and I had the little bottles of PROSECCO ROSA (advertised on the blackboard) and B had a bottle of PERONI.All of us enjoyed the great Italian food and drinks. We then asked for HAZELNUT ICE CREAM and CHOCOLATE ICE CREAM and for beverages ESPRESSO and HOT CHOCOLATE. B and C were served their two items together. When they were finished I got what I had ordered!!!In spite of this we enjoyed our Italian meal.

Looking around Limerick for a place to have dinner and came across Milano. Popped in and was greeted warmly and shown to sits. The service was good and attentive. You have to differently try the dough balls with the dips. They were absolutely delicious to start off with. I had the pollo salad for main. The salad had these tiny tomatoes which I had never eaten before, they were sweet and spicy absolutely delicious. The whole salad was fantastic. I would definitely go back if staying longer in Limerick.

Wonderful family lunch for party of five, including 2 children. As previously experienced, but recently refurbished, this restaurant offered a wide ranging menu which very much appealed to all. Extremely good value lunch, well cooked and presented, and served by very efficient and welcoming staff.Starters included excellent spring rolls, BBQ ribs and chicken wings, nicely varied vegetarian salad. Our mains consisted of jumbo prawns fajitas, green prawn curry, various beef burgers and wonderful fish and chips. This meal was very satisfying and came in at less than â¬86 including various soft drinks. The only minuses were - a wobbly table expertly corrected by the judicious use of a coaster! And - slightly obtrusive noise levels from a nearby construction site for the new Munster Rugby Museum! Highly recommended restaurant for a great lunch!

Everything is Italian in this restaurant even the salt on the table. Authenticity doesn't mean it is good though. The pizzas were pretty bad. My son ordered a four season and the ham and salami were full of fat and didn't taste good. My Margherita pizza wasn't much better. I had heard good things about this place but was disappointed.
