Nothing exciting about this place. First patron for dinner , attracted by "home made pasta" ad in the menu, but there was no more gnocchi?!. Well meaning service but restaurant does not offer real italian food. Lasagna lacked flavor and spices with a semi sweet flavor added to the meat . The past layers were overpowered by the meat. When in Aix , stick to french restaurants off the touristy areas.

One of the best Italian restaurants I've ever eaten in France. Period. The carbonara sauce is delicious and the focaccia -that it's served alongside with your dishes- is made each day by their staff. I'll certainly come back.

This joint is two thirds restaurant and one third takeaway. But you just have to see the huge queue outside to know that it is good.....It is small, but warm and very friendly. The fist time,friendly, The second time, you are almost family..... That kind of place.Limited menu.... galletes (wraps), panini or salad. But it is as flexible as it is limited. Huge range of ingredients, and you get to pick. And the ingredients are top quality, So no problem to choose a nice dish. And there is more. The wine is good and very well priced! And there is more... the desserts (albeit served in plastic cups) are utterly sublime!!!Right up my street..... quality food, low price, cheap booze..... that is what you call heaven!!Staff working lie crazy to keep up with the demand.....HIGHLY RECOMMENDED by this tripper who has been around the block,,,,,

We have been in Aix for three weeks and we have dined at this restaurant 3 times. If we go back, maybe we will get past the pizza. But why, it is the best pizza we have ever eaten. Our first visit, we just stopped in at dinner and were only able to get a table downstairs in the cave. The last two times, I have made a reservation for lunch, but we still sat inside, on the main level. The staff is very friendly, we have the same waiter each time, since he is the only one that speaks English. My husband and I usually split a starter, and then split a pizza. They are very accommodating about bringing the dishes separately and bringing extra plates, which is clearly not the European way of eating. The wine list has some nice wines at reasonable prices. The homemade Tiramisu and cannoli are worth the extra calories. We have one more week here, and I suspect we could be back for an encore.

My husband and I came here for dinner during our stay in Aix en Provence. The service was amazing and the chef came out to help explain the menu as it had just changed and we do not speak French. He explained everything efficiently and was so incredibly kind to us. We had the caprese for an appetizer. For dinner, I had the Bari red pesto pasta dish and my husband had the ravioli dish. Both were awesome! We were so thrilled to be having such quality pasta dishes. We highly recommend this spot!

Even if itâs a Full and busy place , the staff took the time to welcome and take us to our table quickly .The choice offered on the menu will pleased everybody . The order is quickly taken to your table .The portion of the dish wonât let you starve , their are generous .They also good a nice selection of sweets.Perfect for a quick lunch .

Most excellent restaurant with top notch food, friendly and attentive service and a super atmosphere. Every course of our meal was great. I highly recommend the Burrata whipped with truffle oil to share and then get the haricot vert salad special. "Vito" owns 2 different restaurants at 10'walking distance in the city centre of Aix. We went to the most famous but could not enter since it was fully booked and we were readdressed to the second one; even more central. The ambience, the furniture and the logo are the same (later we discovered that they are sharing also the personnel). You can enjoy real Italian pizza since the "pizzaioli" (pizza maker and his apprentice) are Italian. Moreover they are using the original ingredients : tomato sauce (not ketchup) and mozzarella (not other type of cheese). well prepared and well baked in the oven. Quick service. Helpful staff. No Wi-Fi. A bit expensive, but it is in the very touristic area. A negative note is the nomenclature of the pizzas. All the names are invented (despite the fact that they are recalling Italian persons; but sincerely I cannot understand why pizza with anchovies is called Fellini (director of "La dolce vita") and not Napoli according to the real Italian tradition. Same for San Paolo that is usually called Margherita. Italian people are slightly disappointed about this change of tradition and non Italian people don't even realize. Few table outside (but it was very hot) and many more inside in an air conditioned area.Positive, worth to return.

Small restaurant so make sure you make a reservation! Service was good and the waiters were friendly and helpful in explaining their menu (no written menu). The bruschetta was good and the homemade pasta with spicy pork and a pink sauce (I think it was ricotta with tomato sauce) was amazing! The pasta was cooked perfectly al denté and with lots of flavor!

It was a good surprise eat here... It's like a roll pizza, with all fresh ingredients, made very fast and delicious (for a very fair price)A pleasant place, in a hidden street in Aix!
