We had been staying locally but were a little late going out for a meal in the evening...20.30. We found a number of places were closed, needed pre-booking, or about to stop serving altogether. We had walked past this restaurant whilst looking for somewhere special to eat for our anniversary but having found nowhere available we dashed back to find this too was due to close. However, the owners took pity on us and said they would serve us. We had pizza and wine....and so glad we ate here. The pizza base was thin and crispy. The topping was tasty, not greasy, or over loaded. In short....it was one of the best we had eaten in a long while! The owners then spent time with us chatting in Franglais and we had a really good time. This was good quality at a very reasonable price. Most place in Bagnoles were more expensive than those in the surrounding area taking advantage of the tourists....this was a good find.

It is aways a pleasure to eat here. The menu gives lots of choice. I recommend you try the plat du jour. Whatever it happens to be you will enjoy it. The servings are large and they are happy for you to share or give you a doggy bag.

Been here with my son. Made a trip to Normandy, hotels at coast fully booked, so ended up at this small village. Decided to take a pizza. The Saint Jacques was very delicious. Also very friendly personnel.

Phillipe and Sandrine run this superb little Bar, Bistro and pizzeria, with ample parking, across the road. Even if you just want a coffee, lemonade or a beer, you will be made most welcome and, unlike the other bars it is open late, 11pm, early week and midnight, Friday and Saturday. (closed Sunday)All the food is homemade, to order, and includes pasta dishes, starting at 7â¬; steaks between 10⬠& 15â¬, always tender; burgers start at 4⬠but beware the triple stack, it's a monster. The, homemade pizzas, starting at 5⬠50 are the cheapest in town and the best and are available for takeaway. For a quick pit-stop at lunchtime try the double burger in half a baguette, with frites, salad &etc for 4⬠50, I.E. lunch on the go for 7⬠including the glass of beer.Excellent value for money, inexpensive high quality, even the frites start of as REAL potatoes which are peeled and chipped by hand.
