Reasonable choices available for vegetarian. We ordered the award winning pizza - tomato, cheese & basil, and it was surprisingly good. The onion rings and grilled eggplants are awesome too! This place is quite popular but it was raining when we came, so only a few tables are filled. Best to make reservations or come earlier to avoid disappointment!

One of the better restaurants in Kumamoto. Authentic Italian and some fusion Japanese/Italian. Always fresh, always delicious. I used to eat here a few times a month when I lived in Kumamoto. Wonderful atmosphere with a good wine selection. Great place for a group of friends to go and enjoy dinner.

This was our 4th stop on our trip in Japan, but the way this restaurant worked was really new for us. We were able to manage breakfast alright, getting there 30-45 minutes before closing time and had a big choice of foods. But evenings were something different. First evening we arrived around 8 pm, but wanted only something light not the whole buffet (it was good). Next evening we arrived at 9 pm and although last order was 9:30 we were told that we couldn't have the buffet, but only things from the menu. My baked curry was tasteless, except for too much salt. The third night we managed to arrive at 8:20 pm and ordered the buffet and the "all you can drink" menu. Well, the all you can drink menu was two drinks. The server never came back after the second drink was finished. A third beer would have been welcomed, but the offer never arrived. Servers were cleaning up, passing with trays of clean dishes, setting tables up for next morning, etc. We left at 9:30 pm and were the last ones. Restaurant closes at 10 pm.Each day, morning and evening, loads of food were leftover. In the evening servers started cleaning up around 9:20 pm. The buffet food was good in the morning and in the evening, however service wasn't great. I can't understand why the second evening they didn't let us have the buffet? The buffet was more expensive and the food was already cooked (except the main dish). From a business perspective it makes more sense to let us eat the food that is already cooked. I can also understand that they didn't want us to drink too much, but why advertise the all you can drink if you're not serving it? Maybe the servers aren't paid after 10 pm, so they all hurry up to finish the work before that.We like to have late dinners but apparently this isn't possible in this restaurant.
