Good pizzas and fast service. Never disappoints. Kebabs are worth trying too. Salads and TexMex dishes are average.
Where to eat Pub food in Kouvola: The Best Restaurants and Bars
The food was fine (mainly pizzas and pasta) if you don't mind 'chain' eating and the decor was OK. The wine list was eye-wateringly expensive (£30 for very average Italian 'house') so we stuck to fruit juice. The staff were friendly and helpful. The Finns don't appear to eat out much, at least not in provincial towns like Kuusankoski, and it shows in the restaurants around the town.

The restaurant is close to the railway station and visiting it was a good way to complement a successful day in Kouvola. The interior is simple, but quite stylish with a good view of a hardworking pizza chef, which is a woman,by the way! While we were waiting for our pizza we were offered salad buffet. The waitress recommended us good Sicilian wine . Coffee was also very tasty (as always in Finland). The service was friendly and quick.Next time we hope to try something else from their extensive menu.

I have eaten lunch at Mario several times with my family. We've eaten meat and fish dishes and pizza. There was never any bigger disappointments. Restaurant has a good corner for kids with toys etc. Sometimes tables have been messy and it was hard to find a clean one.
