Bistro met streekbieren, gerechten en regelmatig nieuwe suggesties. Honden welkom en speelruimte voor honden ter beschikking.
The charm of the atmosphere and the location give indeed very positive impression. Original, beautiful, charming, tasteful. In fact these 2 aspects are the strongest features of the place and for me the only reason to go there. Unfortunately when I took a closer look at all the rest I was disappointed and finally left with a negative feeling. Service: in general warm and friendly if done by the servants and not by the owner. My experience with the owner (man) - too bossy and too informal for the first or a second meeting. He also left too little place for me as client to choose for myself where to sit and what to eat although there was no obvious indication that the place which I would prefer was reserved. Too curious and too informal for his role. After all he is there to serve and not to become my friend or part of "my party". When I was talking with my father he came several times to interrupt us with one or an other of his jokes, he clearly ignored my father but payed his attention to me... which was kind of disturbing and not exactly respectful for my father as it was noticed. His wife (the bar) never smiles and has "long" face all the time which is certainly not a plus when you stand in front to welcome your clients. Usually when you are served beer the servant is supposed to fill your glass as he is also supposed to be trained to do that. There you get your glass and the bottle are supposed to do it yourself. Food: the cart with drinks is attractive. Few local beers... nice. Pancakes are great. I believe they are homemade. For the rest....if you don't know much about it or are not very picky or don't pay much attention you won't notice what I did. The salad which I had was so bad that it didn't even smell fresh. Leave out the taste and the structure of the leaves (honestly, some of them were rotten) ... I suspect it wasn't even washed as I felt earth in my moth. A few very thing slices of small radish (to be more precise 3) and 1 small tomato cut in 2 were a bit too poor in my eyes for the price of 18,5 €. French fries wasn't well baked, tasted like oil and didn't have the golden colour which it is supposed to have when it's well done. Homemade mayonnaise too sweet. The jar it was served in was dirty. I can grantee that lasagne was not homemade as it says in the cart. I know too good the taste of the homemade lasagne not to recognize one when I eat it. Besides the plate was warm as from the microwave and it was swimming in the cream. That happens only when you add cream when you worm it up in the microwave to add some liquid which helps to spread the hit over the dish more regular. All in all I'd say appreciating the looks of the place and the location, the drink and the pancakes, it's nice to drop by after a pleasant walk in the forest for a drink. If you are allowed and are lucky you can sit where you wish and even enjoy the terrace. If you are not too picky and/or had bit of alcohol first you can even like the food. From my experience it's too expensive and too pretentious for what it is.

Been here several times and will keep on coming back. The pizza's are great (also take-out), the saltimbocca is delicious, as well as the other dishes we have tried. They have two rooms and although the big one is very cosy, we were very disappointed once when they seated us in the other room which had little charm and where they had several kid-parties going on with lots of noise. In the summer you can eat outside - beautiful green lawn where the kids can play while waiting for dinner to be served - but make sure you have reservations !!All in all a traditional Italian restaurant... love it!

Peppino is a lovely family restaurant on the main street in Keerbergen. It is much more than a pizza place. Inside the restaurant is nicely appointed with a touch of elegance. The delicious, flavoursome cuisine features reinterpreted traditional recipes with more than adequate portions. The pasta is amongst the three best I have had the pleasure of enjoying and compares very favourably with the best of Italy. Service is family friendly and professional. Wine list is good and well-priced. Recommend highly

Starting as of 1 January Margherita Mazzocchi opened the new restaurant 'Margherita ', full of Italian concepts, as successor and further ' extension ' of the ' Lasagneria '. Speciality of the House are fresh fish dishes and hand-made pasta such as raviol
Let’s start by saying that we go out to dinner twice a week, sometimes fancy most of the time simple. We know a-lot about food and prices. We are not difficult eaters as we like and eat everything. Honestly, it has been a long time that a restaurant visit was this unpleasant. The service was terrible, we had to ask for everything ourselves, no one came to our table by themselves. There is a bread plate and butter knife but no bread was served until we asked. Then there was no butter. No one asked us if we wanted to drink something, we again had to call them. For everything. Dirty empty glasses and plates remained on the table, even though they passed the table empty handed several times. They all seemed lost as what to do and also got the order wrong. No apologies though. So far the service, if the food would have been good it still might have been an ok night and we would have left the service for what it was. My boyfriend who is a very mediocre cook can do alot better. They say typical Italian, no nonsense food but I go to Italy often and this is not cooking. Putting raw vegetables on a plate without even a tiny bit of oil or dressing with a piece of unseasoned meat and overcooked fish is not cooking. This was money down the drain. We don’t understand all the positive reviews about the food. I guess we all have different tastes and expectations but for us this is a no no , not to be repeated. I don't understand your review, but it's okay, it's your idea and I respect it. No problem. But I have to say that we recive every day a lot of compliments about our food and our service and we have a lot of clients that come back often. This is the reason of the goed revieuw, our clients are happy with us: goed food, good service en beautiful garden. Best regards.Margherita

We went there several times. The food is quite good, service is sloppy and they are not always very friendly but the one thing that is really disturbing is the noise.

Di livorno offers a rich diversity in its cuisines. Pizzas, pasta's and a wide range of Asian and oriental suggestions .
Di Livorno is a labour of love of Suzi & Krish who pooled in their professional expertise to create this authentic place.Decor: Di Livorno is charming. The restaurant space is inviting, quaint and classy. Bright and airy, this is a perfect space to unwind, just be. The black board outside announces the day's specials.Food: There's a huge choice of pizza offers — including Pizza Suzie, which I try. Bitter-sweet, strong and distinct, it is enough to wake anyone up!Craving for some Indian dishes in the afternoon or evening? Di Livorno is an all-day sort of place, and they have several signature dishes - not easy ones to make, either. Chef Krish does a great job of making a chicken korma to perfection, without letting it get overdone, serving it with white rice and nam bread. As the knife touches the fragile chicken meat and sauce flows, the nam bread soaks up all its goodness. The sauce adds the right amount of tang to this dish, completing the picture.Pluses and minuses: One could get addicted to this place, especially the coffee. They have so many dishes on their menu, and a some of them vegetarian.Di Livorno is my favourite hang-out. I go there every week.

I found this place on the net and gave it a shot, pleasantly surprised by the tasty italian style pizza !The housewine was very acceptable and good price/quality. Didn't notice any unfriendliness. Despite the noisy children who where playing on the floor the staff was calm and the service was good. Parents should know better in my opinion. All in all worth visiting again when i'm in belgium!

Finally we found a real (Sicilian) Italian restaurant that doesn't alter the dishes to suit Belgian tastes.Enthousiast chef and crew, impressive winelist, menu geared towards fish an daily specials explained in detail. They buy their tuna and pesce spada wholesome: almost better than in Italy as a matter of fact.I cannot think of a better one in a radius of 50 km!
