Location and food are great, nice sea view, but unfortunately very expensive. The waiters are snobbish and don't do their job well. It's a pity because it could be a great place to dine!

June 1, 2019-"EGLISE" which means "church" by renewal open French to an Italian food business status. An isolated house restaurant built with chapel. I'll have Mr. owner chef Makoto Ogawa of RA in Komachi, Kamakura-shi area and Luce supervise cooking as n
Prior to coming here, I had contacted the staff about my boyfriend's upcoming birthday. Despite my horrible Japanese, they seemed understand my requests. Upon arrival, we were greeted with a beautiful atmosphere and airy feeling. We were the only people there but as our courses came out, more people came. The food was beautifully prepared and delicious. For the price and service we received (especially the unlimited bread), it was beyond all expectations. Because I had mentioned it was my boyfriend's birthday, they had prepared a special cake and candle, as well as his name on his plate (in chocolate). Stunning and he was so surprised. The staff were all delightful and attentive and overall we enjoyed a truly amazing evening!

This place is a bit tucked away, but well worth it. I stopped in for a late lunch with my wife and young sons (9yo & 13yo) and it was the perfect break in our day of touring Kamakura. We walked several miles on a hot day, so this place gave us a bit of tranquility along with some great pasta. This isn't probably great for a review, but I don't actually recall which pasta I ordered - they offered 3-4 and we selected a couple of them. I do remember it was very fresh and of good quality - it wasn't thin or oily or bland.

Cantina has been renovated and is beautiful inside and out. The food is enjoyable Italian. Be forewarned, the kids meal pizza is loaded with vegetables and sausage. Maybe ask for plain if you have a picky eater. There is a fair amount of parking or it is about a 15 minutes walk from either JR Zushi or Shin-Zushi station. Leave the station and head towards the beach. Since it is newly renovated, we had a longer wait then usual. We waited over an hour for lunch on a Sunday. However, we enjoyed watching the wind-surfers while we waited.

After a long day of hiking to temples, this was an easy choice for food. The salad greens and vinaigrette were amazingly fresh. Pizza in a wood fired oven was authentically Neapolitan. Our pizza was based on a Margherita recipe and we added extra toppings. It's very thin crust and the fresh tomatoes make it very juicy. We would return again. Service was excellent.

I visited this place by the Ocean about four years ago, and it was a pleasure to return with friends, to find the young chefs as creative as ever, offering a variety of fashionable Italian (even Tuscan) dishes. We sampled their pickled antipasti, which were more inspired by Fusion, but with good raw ham and very good home-made bread. One bruschetta was offered with 'sausages', and they tasted authentically Tuscan, with aniseed and authentic flavour, but the chef confirmed they made them themselves. The risotto was perfect, the tagliolini ai porcini excellent. A wonderful experience in a very simpatica atmosphere. Well done! Ganbatte, neh.

Besides the great food, the place also has a beautiful view of the sea, Enoshima and also we could see Mt. Fuji. We strongly recommend afternoon drinks by the terrace and a delicious dinner.
