What a lovey (quiet) place in which to enjoy an Italian meal. Great cosmo, great food, great (Italian) clientele. Had the branzino (sea bass) but be forewarned if you need a lot of food--skimpy on the fish. Perfect for me. It was like going to Italy without having to cross the Atlantic!thank you very much! hope to see you soon

Scalini Fedeli is a great Italian restaurant. The venue itself doesn't look like much, but the food and service is top notched. The menu rotates seasonally. There's a pre fixe option (3 courses), and a regional tasting option (7 courses). I went for the regional tasting and was impressed. There are also small accompaniments in between courses at times, and I left super, super full. A few dishes were just average, but the greatness of other dishes pushed up the level of the overall package. The arctic char is amazing, and the non-ravioli pastas were a little better. Dessert was great as well.

This is a tiny place on Prince Street. It can be a little noisy with everyone being seated very close to each other, but it's tolerable. We had bruschette for an appetizer. It was the classic version with olive oil and tomatoes and was awesome. Three of us had lasagna, and the fourth person had penne with tomato sauce and basil. They have a lava cake that isn't on the menu, and the two who had it were fans. All of the food was excellent. Reservations have to be made a month in advance and are recommended. However, there were a few folks who came without reservations after 8 p.m. who were able to be seated. Prices are pretty low for food of this quality.

Blackhawk is right about everything. Chumming up, arrogant reception. Deliberately overbooked. Though reservation there was left just a table outside by 15 degrees centigrade in the evening. In fact, there are many better restaurants.Dear customer,I apologize if you had this bed experience. Basically our staff is always kind and nice with everybody. This is our policy. Sometimes it happens that people wait outside because the place is small and we have many customers. They are always happy to have an experience in the Piccola Cucina so the wait is worth it. We hope you will come to taste our food.Thank you so muchPiccola Cucina Group

Some of the best appetizer and pasta I've had. It's a bit pricey and the staff made it seem like we needed a reservation although it was empty at 6pm. It was a last minute visit and I would think they would be nicer given that it was empty. The waiter was pretty dodgy and was not up to small talk, kind of made us a bit uncomfortable asking questions about the menu (which had a system of its own). Other than that the food is super good.

You have to wait 30 minutes to get your lunch sandwich but it's well worth it. Come before 11am or after 4pm if you want to purchase anything other than sandwiches. They have lots of italian packaged goods : pasta, panetone, pesto but none of these are fresh - they are shelf items. They also have mixed olives, marinades artichokes, red peppers and a few cold cuts.

Uninspiring, boring, bland. Sorry but that's how the three of us felt. We had 2 pizzas and the meatballs. Firstly the meatballs were barely warm with slightly warmer tomato sauce poured over. We sent them back to be reheated. They returned marginally improved. Pizzas. The four cheese was ok, if salty. The spinach and mushroom pizza arrived as the others were finishing due to it being redone "because it wasn't presentable". When it finally arrived it had very little flavour. The lateness of the pizza resulting in a 30% reduction in the price of that pizza only. Not a great experience overall. With so many other eateries nearby I would choose somewhere else!

We ate here for lunch this summer before an information session and tour of NYU. As my wife and daughter are gluten free, we are always looking for somewhere good to eat. Being in New York, we wanted to find good pizza. Keste is the place. This gluten free pizza was as good as any regular pizza, if not better. The price was right, surprisingly low/normal as New York is very expensive, and our service was excellent. When I ever go back to downtown NYC, I will definitely come back to Keste for pizza.
