For Papa John's Pizza in Bedford, VA, the secret to success is much like the secret to making a better pizza - the more you put into it, the more you get out of it. Whether it's our signature sauce, toppings, our original fresh dough, or even the box itse
My husband and I visited here on the Friday after Thanksgiving and were disappointed. We had been told how nice it was and great the food was. When we entered there was a lady standing at the counter talking on the phone - she was not thrilled with us waiting to be told where to sit and verged on being rude. The dining area is an old remodled car dealership and lacks as far as being welcoming. The lighting is poor and seating shows age. The service was average at best. The food was satifying but nothing to boast about. The price was fair which is really the only good part of our visit.
My wife and I stopped for lunch, on our way back home from a trip to Charlotte. We didn't really want fast food, and Tuscan's reviews on Yelp were pretty good, so we thought we've give it a shot. Lucky choice. The food was actually very good, and unbelievably priced. When is the last time you found an Italian lunch buffet for $6.99. And all of the sandwiches, with fries, were also $6.99. Wow. My wife had a Greek salad, which was huge and full of ingredients other than just lettuce. I went ahead and tried the buffet. The spaghetti was average, the red sauce penne was good, and the chicken/red pepper penne alfredo was very good. The pizza was excellent. Service was very good also. If you're running down route 29 in the Altavista, VA area, search this one out and try it.
this is a great place to eat! i've thoroughly enjoyed everything i have eaten here on numerous visits! i really like the sandwiches as they are freshly prepared to order. service is always great too!

We decided on meatball subs! They were fabulous, tasteful, and cheesy! There is a bar there and good service. They also had pasta salad that was really tasty! Will be back for pizza!

We had a very large group of scouts on a field trip and descended upon Bella Italian with a little advanced warning. The helpful staff there made every accomodation for our group and served some very tasty pizza and italian dished to our famished around. Would highly recommend.

If you need or prefer a gluten free menu, Peace of Pie offers the best I've ever tasted. Both pizza and famous cheese sticks are off the chain! Donna and her girls offer the hospitality you expect from a small town establishment--everyone feels like family when they leave. The eat in experience is excellent and not a wish goes unanswered with take away. Make Peace of Pie a priority on your trip, I promise you won't be disappointed!

Through a friend I requested to hold a small birthday gathering at Tuscan. Tony and Maria were extremely accommodating. I could not have ask for a better experience! The cake Maria created was phenomenal! Great people, great service, and great food! Well done!

I have had pizza all across the country, and New Jersey and Chicago probably have the best pizza I have ever had. That said, I have also had pizza at several establishments around SML and Lago's has the best pizza at the lake. Crispy crust, flavorful sauce and a decent assortment of toppings with good pricing as well.My beloved and I go to Lago's about once a month when the pizza urge strikes.Happy dining.

My husband and I decided to try the chicken wings at Downtown Pizzeria because we read on a sign they were the best on the lake. WRONG! We brought them home and they were soggy and just plain nasty. Will never order wings from this place again!Caroline,Thank you for bringing this to our attention as I will be bringing this up to our staff. Our wings are generally crispy and quite popular. We have, however, discovered that wings occasionally get soggy on some carry out orders. Wings are tossed when they come out of the fryer (190- 200 degrees), they are then put into a container to keep warm. The customer comes to pick up their order and drive home (often 10 plus minute drive). During this time, the sauce they were tossed in, combined with the heat of the wings in the enclosed container causes the sauce to seep into the wings which can lead to soggy wings. Again, we apologize for this, and I will be informing our staff of this.

Went there recently on a Saturday afternoon...for the first time...and WOW!!! were we impressed!! The atmosphere is about the best I've seen in an Italian restaurant..decor, music...excellent. We ordered a Greek Pizza and it was about the BEST pizza I've ever had. It was absolutely delicious! The wait staff was so attentive and one of them informed me that everything there, including the sauces, etc.was made fresh on the premises. The entire facility was clean and so pleasant..Folks, I'd give it a TEN!!
