Food and drinks were delicious, the location lovely but the staff was not very pleasant or helpful. Nothing outrageously bad happened but not a single smile and fairly abrupt behaviour and whenever we wanted to order something more or even ask for the bill it took forever to make eye contact with the grumpy waiter. If you are not in any hurry and have been "trained" by experience to be tolerant to the peculiarities of some of the Czech restaurant staff then you can sit directly in the beautiful old central square of Hradec and eat nice and fresh food - what can be better? ;-)

I visited this restaurant with my boyfriend and two disabled women. In my opinion, it is a nice middle class restaurant with a low class staff. Our waiter brought us ordered teas with an ant on a plate (we were sitting inside so there is no way it could have fallen down from the roof or a tree). Even after I pointed out (in a positive way) that there was an ant, waiter had no reaction. We received our meals but no tableware to eat it with. After the waiter was changed by a waitress, there were no further problems. On the contrary to those rather negative things - I cannot say a word against their cuisine. Raviolli, pasta and risotto were absolutely delicious. Interior was well decorated, general atmosphere was pleasant.

Looking for a restaurant in a very dull city, I found Casa Mia in the city centre of Hradec Kralové, close to my hotel Cerginov. Welcomed by friendly staff, they immediately noticed I was not Czech and received the English translated menu card. With a wide selection of choices I chose two main courses and a great glass of Italian white wine. Big eater and lover of food, I was really surprised by the quality of the chef producing a great meal, real Italian soul !! Finishing of with chocolate icecream and tea. I couldn't be more happy. If you are in this place, go enjoy this restaurant.

Pizza Luigi makes the best pizzas you can buy in Hradec Kralove. The staff understands and speaks English. Just one warning: if you take a pizza with forest mushrooms and it is not mushroom season, they might have been deep frozen.

Nice chicken salad with oven potatos, balkan cheese salad and cold beer before to start another festival day. Salads and beer were tasty! But lots of tobacco smoke at the terrace...

After an exhausting day in Adrspach, me and a friend of mine decided to go for some dinner. In an alley, a bit dark, we found this place and it seemed like a good place. Therefore we decided to enter and it didn't disappoint us. We decided to share two pizzas because we couldnt decide. The waitress was really friendly and had no problem with us as foreigners (some have). We had the mama mia pizza (spicy salami and bacon) and the pizza with parmesan, tomatoes, italian ham and rocket salade. Especially the last one was really, really delicious. Most probably the best pizza this year! Simply lovely. Also the red wine was good, I can really recommend that as well.

Really nice location on the main square with outside seating. A lot of the other places on the main square looked a bit touristy and indifferent, whereas this was a great lunch spot as they had a really varied menu of pastas and salads, and the food was delicious. Huge portions too!
