Reviews on Italian food in Hornchurch, England, United Kingdom. Hornchurch is a suburban town in the London Borough of Havering, East London, England, 15.2 miles (24.5 km) east-northeast of Charing Cross. Historically an ancient parish in the county of Essex, that became the manor and liberty of Havering, Hornchurch shifted from agriculture to other industries with the growing significance of nearby Romford as a market town and centre of administration. As part of the suburban growth of London in the 20th century, Hornchurch significantly expanded and increased in population, becoming an urban district in 1926, and forming part of Greater London since 1965. It is the location of Queen's Theatre, Havering Sixth Form College and Havering College of Further and Higher Education.

We came here on spec as we were passing by, the staff were extremely attentive especially to our 4 year old, offering to make us an off the menu items to please here (it wasn't needed), but we thought that was great. Two of us ordered of the Italian side of the menu, the gnocchi was really good! And the spag bol too apparently. I ordered steak, which was slightly over cooked but only slightly. It was also very very well priced too! I'd go back again to try the Italian food given my friends feedback on it.

Calzone pizza, slit the crust and what do you find hiding? Three small mouthfuls of chicken, a bit of red pepper with some onion and tomato. Last time I went to this restaurant the Calzone was delicious and packed with filling. Friends on another tables complained at the end about their hot food being served on cold plates. Aaaaggghhhh!! Places like this rely on âvoucher businessâ then inflate their prices to accommodate this. This said I thought the overall experience was poor and regional management need to really look st what theyâre doing here. Iâll take a lot of persuading to return.

At Zizzi we like to do things a little differently. We donât do over-complicated recipes or scrimpy portion sizes. Weâre all about the well-chosen ingredients, simply put together to make exceptional Italian food.Found at the end of the high street of thi
The cooking and service are well mannered but hopeless. The pizzas were cooked for the same length of time as the Calzone so they tasted more like baked cardboard than pizza. Cheese on on then pizzas was cooked so long it became solid. Calzone tasted nice. There seems a serious disconnect between the food preparation and the actual serving of food. Food is left on the side unless prompted to serve it. Someone elseâs desert including ice cream was left on the side to basically melt.

After eating here every week for the last month itâs time I stopped keeping this to myself and honouring this restaurant.A family owned business run by Enzo & his wife and father Toni. Everything is home cooked with a substantial specials board that changes weekly. The food is truly superb and at its price point (£50 per person including wine) is quite simply better than everything else locally.Everything is good but highlights include the weekâs special steak, the weekâs special fish, any pasta dish and the fritto misto starter. The restaurant has a good Italian wine list but also keeps a good stop of âoff menuâ special wines at a very fair price. Also to kite is that all main courses come with the dinerâs choice of vegetables at no additional cost. We regularly have the deep fried zucchini with mix green vegetables and are never disappointed.I honestly canât give any restaurant any higher recommendation other than to say every time I visit here I book another table. Truly excellent.

This is a spacious and modern restaurant. Service is both friendly and intuitive. There is a great selection of food on offer including daily specials and set menus during the day. The building appears to accessible and there is seating at the front of the building. my fresh pizza was cooked to order and was filling. My starter of mushrooms in breadcrumbs was served in a small basket. Plenty of buses pass the restaurant and it is close to Romford Train Station. I'll definitely return.
