At Zizzi we like to do things a little differently. We donât do over-complicated recipes or scrimpy portion sizes. Weâre all about the well-chosen ingredients, simply put together to make exceptional Italian food. This long standing restaurant is set at th
The service was very good. The food was very poor! The pasta dishes were small and my calzone was of a very oddly taste. My husbandâs dish was ok, but we hate eating off boards! My daughterâs dessert was not like the photo shown on the advertisement. The chocolate brownie was either uncooked or melted, it was not a brownie! We did complain and they didnât charge us for the dessert. We were offered another one, but we declined. The meal was very overpriced! Probably wonât visit again.

The pizza is made from slow-rising sourdough (minimum 20 hours) and is baked in a wood burning 'Tufae' brick oven made on site by specialised artisans from Naples. This oven produces a heat of about 500c (930f). The slow levitation and blast-cooking proce
We came for dinner and although the pizza was delicious, there were a few thing that would make me hesitate to go back;- Asked for high chair then had to chase down for a kids menu (obvious surely)- Waitress suggested something that wasn't available- twice- Same waitress took 15 minutes to get my drink when it wasn't busy, seemed like she didn't know what an Aperol Spritz was- it eventually arrived in a small kids plastic cup- despite being over £8 - had I known this I would have just ordered wine (who knows why my drink wasn't served in a wine glass if that's all they have- I did not enjoy having a tiny plastic cup)- Gave us the kids menu when we asked but provided no crayons to do the activities- Waitress obviously does not know that ice cream and sorbet are not the same thing (daughter still ate it but this is very basic menu knowledge)- Music was insipid background beats- no atmosphere - Table was mostly taken up by over-sized can of cutlery- no candle/similar- again not very ambient for the evening.I would say it's more of a lunch place based on the above which is a shame because our meals were greatHi Surreyuklouise,Thank you for taking the time to share this review with us.I am sorry to read you had a disappointing visit. One of the best restaurants I have ever been to. There is good Italian food and there is superb Italian food - this is superb, unique, different, beautifully put together, amazing flavour combinations, and a real treat. The restaurant is ver pleasant, despite not having the best views (Sydenham Rd car park), but the service, the relaxed atmosphere, not being crammed in,and the comfort, all help make this a special experience. Very impressed - we will be back, not regularly, but for special occasions - such as this, it was our 35 Wedding Anniversary. Crab and salmon fish cakes, halibut carpaccio, tuna steak salad and olive mash, calfs liver, myrto and frangelico liqueurs all sublime!

ASK Italian in Guildford is a place for great food and warm service. Think fresh bread made to tear and share. A glass of fine wine worth deserving of your time. Delicious main dishes prepared the traditional way. Everything we know and love about Italian
I have visited this restaurant with friends twice in the last month for dinner, both times we have had a great experience. Really helpful friendly staff and excellent food with good presentation. We all said how impressed we were with both our visits, Mehmet and his staff were very friendly and welcoming. We had starter of prawns, meatballs, soufflé and whitebait during our visits and all have been excellent. For main courses we have had sea bass, the chicken and the pork and they have been excellent also and nicely presented. We will definitely visit again.

While staying at the Manor hotel snd Spa ( next door) decided to try Carlo's. So glad we did. The lady on reception/ bar was so freindly and chatty. Very knowledgable about the food and menus. Discribed them with pashion, not just listing them off. The fish platter starter was excelent. A large portion, plently for both of us. We also had the risoto and home made ravoli. They we're both devine, top ingrediants used and the taste shone through. Really really wonderful place. Shame we don't live nearer. Would highly recommend Carlo's to anyone. Thank you for a wonderful evening.

I hadn't had chance to come back here for a while and it was a delight to come and try their parma ham and rocket pizza. Very delicious and much enjoyed the warm welcome from this family run restaurant, run by such lovely people. Must get around to coming again one of these days. I apologise I didn't remember to bring my camera and photograph it but it is great.

Open ON BOOKINGS ONLY all day Sundays & Mondays and for lunch Tuesdays to Thursdays! The coziest, tiniest pub/restaurant in Guildford. So small that is mostly working on âbookings onlyâ. We do it all with Passion! Italian Passion! We're simple, casual and
Externally the pub looks fantastic and the flowers looked after. I ordered a 3 Guinness and it tasted off. Also one person in the group had battered bread with some very old salami it tasted awful and charged £12.Hi guys.I did not see this coming to be honest, considering a few of your friends are regulars eaters at the pub and come so often to enjoy my homemade food. Obviously wasnât you!You had a lot more than 3 Guinness, considering it was a pub crawl! And I did not get any leftover in any glass! Really weird! Your friend order whatever was quick because you needed to move to the next pub and that was a platter with amazing traditional coccoli with Tuscan salami, which I get fresh from italy every week. If he did not understand it was bread I can even get that and apologise if the explanation wasnât fair enough to be understood, but he should have told me and I was going to fix making something else. Saying that tho, how are you complaint for food you did not even buy or taste yourself? Iâm shocked by how you guys are managing pub crawls nowadays.Maybe next time, come and complaint to me instead of wasting time writing on here for an experience which is not even fair to measure the quality of my restaurant pub.

We arrived out of the soaking rain into a cosy, warm and welcoming restaurant. We were seated upstairs and very well looked after all evening by Martha. Martha was delightful and our evening was only made better by her excellent service and approach to customers. The food was probably the best Italian cooking I have had in England and better than a lot of the food I've had in Italy too... If it hadn't been for the awful weather outside I could have convinced myself we were on holiday. After a delicious bread basket with oil and vinegar we had the special of sardines in breadcrumb with herbs and the carpaccio with rocket and Parmesan, both were excellent. For main course we ordered Nastri seafood pasta and a pizza, but after having the pasta come out first (they were happy to split the dish into two bowls and stagger the main courses) we cancelled the pizza as we wanted to save room for dessert! I'm very pleased we made that decision because the desserts were incredible as well. We had the pear and almond tart and the Special which had chestnut paste, mascarpone and flaked almonds amongst other ingredients and a side of sweet wine. It's one of the best desserts I've had in a long time. It sounds quite rich but it actually wasn't over the top. There is a good selection of prosecco cocktails and the house cocktails were very reasonable. The price was very surprising to the point where I missed that service had already been added to the bill. We got excellent value. Thank you Oliva!
