Things to do in Gotemba

The atmosphere and setting of the restaurant is nice though there was a long wait at lunch time. Service is quite fast though. We tried the stone fish with linguine. Portion was rather small and not for sharing. It appeared to have been indicated in the menu as such. The starter platter is a better starter. All in though the total cost came to a surprise of a high side to us.
Found this place by accident. There was a good atmosphere and the staff were very helpful as our JapNese is fairly limited. The vegetable pizza was delicious and the sirloin beef was beautifully cooked. The wine was delicious. We went back the next evening and the meal was just as good

Well, it's not a proper Italian restaurant, but more of a Japanese-Italian. The menu is a bit mixed up. But you can get a good Italian meal here. We had bruschettas for appetizer, and then pizzas which were actually very good!
Wow! I loves everything about this restaurant! The food was superb and our waitress spoke very good English. She helped us tremendously! Each dish came out looking like a picture in a magazine and there was so much flavor! EVERYTHING was fresh, even their salt and sugar. Amazing restaurant and highly recommended! If we visit Gotemba again, we will definitely come back to Kuishinbogomi!!!
Best International food near Gotemba, Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan
After seeing Mt. Fuji, we had lunch with a tour at Fenice in Hotel Mars Garden Wood. There were several buildings in the complex which suggested that it was ideal for special meetings, conferences, and tour groups. The dishes came promptly. They served chicken cutlet and potato with a fruit cup for dessert. We would call the fare Japanese-Italian. It was very tasty to my Western palate. The service was exceptionally efficient. As a matter of fact, the entire experience was efficient and delightful with clean and convenient rest rooms and a bright, open dining room with floor to ceiling windows. We felt the lunch experience was excellent.
Where to eat Sushi food in Gotemba: The Best Restaurants and Bars
We stumbled upon West Wood as we were walking around Gotemba trying to find something to eat. The restaurant was charming, and the staff was very friendly despite us not speaking much Japanese. The menu had pictures, which made it much easier to navigate the unfamiliar menu (something I came to cherish in our travels), and my boyfriend and I both loved our dishes. They have a large selection of items for a reasonable price, so I highly recommend this restaurant.

I have been here for dinner and lunch. Both times the experience has been more than satisfying. The food is excellent and the view is very special. The ambiance is different for lunch than dinner and in a way, it is even better.

An excellent surprising little restaurant about 10 minutes drive from Gotemba Premium Outlet. The owner and chef Kisanuki San was very friendly and tentative, and even divided our pasta dish in two serves so we could share, without is asking. The restaurant does not have an English menu but Kisanuki San explained each item to us in English. We were given amuse bouche of a small bruschetta and pate on toast, which started our appetites. Our assorted starter was delicate and consisted of both authentic Italian flavours like the chicken rillete and pate, and Japanese influenced bites like the pickles lotus root. Our salami pizza had a thin base with crunchy edges, and the texture was perfectly light but still had some chewiness. The mixed seafood pasta was really fresh and had a mixture of prawns, scallops, octopus, pippis and mussels. Finally the tiramisu was the best surprise. The mascapone was so light that it was like a souffle that disappeared once you put it in your mouth. For a shared plate of entree, a pasta, a pizza, a dessert and a glass of wine, the bill came to 5600yen. Not too expensive, and everything, from the food to the service, was well worth it !Arigatougozaimasu Kisanuki san
