On a Monday night it is never the easy find to locate a restaurant being open. Well Dolce Vita came to the rescue as they close on a Wednesday. The owner gave us a lovely outside table which included prime viewing of the soccer world championship in Russia.We stayed with Pizzas all around and a few rounds of drinks. The food arrived 10 minutes later, highlighting the efficiency.A really nice place for a casual meal.

Kleiner Italiener an dem man leicht auch mal vorbeiläuft, was aber ein Fehler ist. Etwas rustikales Ambiente, aber freundlicher Service. Ãberschaubare Speisekarte und zusätzlich wechselnde Tagesempfehlungen. Preise völlig in Ordnung, insgesamt eine Empfehlung.Kleines Manko: offensichtlich wird im Küchenbereich sehr stark geraucht, der Zigarettengeruch ist deutlich bemerkbar.

Sehr leckeres und frisches Essen, vom Menu weit mehr als die sonst übliche Karte beim Italiener. Das Fleisch perfekt, die Garnelen zart, ein wirklich gelungenes Essen. Aufmerksamer Service, der Chef selbst zwar präsent aber unaufdringlich. Lediglich in punkto Gemütlichkeit etwas Abzug, am Wochenende abends recht voll, durch den direkten Eingang etwas zugig. Insgesamt eine klare Empfehlung!

It has been awhile since we've been here, but I remember it as being one of the better Italian restaurants in the area with outstanding service. You cannot go wrong going here!

We had not planned on dinning out but as we were in Gelnhausen for a meeting that had run late we decided to try a new place for dinner. It was late, we did not have any reservation and were welcomed by a very friendly and accommodating staff.This place has the standard Italian menu but where we were very pleased was the Chef recommandations that came out of the ordinary and were both a treat for the eyes and taste buds!

Wir waren im Rahmen einer Familienfeier ( Taufe) in diesem Restaurant.Das Beste war die Weinkarte und die Tomatensuppe.Es dauerte eine Ewigkeit bis die Bestellwünsche aufgenommen wurden; der Service war offensichtlich überfordert.Mein 2-jähriger Enkel kriegte seine Pasta mit Tomatensauce ganz am Schluà , da waren die ca.25 Mitessser schon fast fertig!3 x ging ich zur Küche , um nachzufragen.Wo gibt es das sonst , wo doch die " Bambini" gerade bei Italienern bevorzugt werden.An Geschirr schien es auch mangeln .Die Tomatensuppe wurde für die ca. 25 Gäste in 3 verschiedenen Arten serviert :Terrinen, runde und quadratische Suppenteller.Wie gesagt , der Wein u.a. vom Südtiroler Weinpapst Alois Lageder , ist als einziges hervorzuheben.Dafür fahre ich aber keine 60 km mehr , und das 2-fach.

Das Delizia in Gelnhausen ist ein Ort für Genuss in mehrerer Hinsicht: Ankommen: Anfahrt durch die malerische Altstadt von Gelnhausen mit Parkplatz direkt vor der Tür. Im Restaurant ein gepflegtes und doch gemütliches Ambiente mit netten Details. Sehr freundliche und - vor allem - herzliche BegrüÃung. Das Personal ist hilfsbereit, freundlich und sehr kompetent. Die Speisekarte ist abwechslungsreich aber klein genug, dass man sicher sein kann, dass alle Zutaten stets frisch sind ( keine 20 Seiten Pizza oder Schnitzel). Dafür gibt es echte italienische Küche wie man sie auch in guten Ristorantes in Italien bekommt. Täglich mehrere aktuelle Gerichte zusätzlich zur Karte. Ich wüsste jetzt nicht, was ich besonders hervorheben sollte - wann immer ich im Delizia esse: es schmeckt super, ist frisch und raffiniert und in den Gewürzen ausgewogen. Die Desserts sind eine Klasse für sich! Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist sehr gut. Fazit: Ich fühle mich im Delizia willkommen und genieÃe das Essen, das Ambiente und den herausragenden Service. I was told the food here was good, it was far better than that it was excellent. This place is well worth finding, excellent food, good wine and very friendly service. Highly recommended.

Nice location with a beautiful view of the surroundings as it is located on an elevated place, surely in the summer months would be more pleasant to dine outside on the terrace. Big Food proportions, thatâs why I was already almost sated after eating the entry l. Service was also friendly and attentive. Worth coming back in our next trip.

The owner of this fine dining establishment has been operating his restaurant for over 20 years. The location commands amazing views all the way to Frankfurt. The building ones served as Teahouse for a local family who also owned the white villa, another iconic building in Gelnhausen. The Teahouse is of generous proportions and has high ceilings and a verandah which is also used as additional seating for the restaurant during the summer season.Back to the owner who walks the restaurant floor dressed as a chef and does not miss anything. Even though we had no booking we were given a lovely table. Service was efficient but a little slow. Both dishes we had select were yummy but very much Niveau Cuisine.There is parking at 3 levels and again the location of this restaurant is outstanding. When in Gelnhausen ensure to visit the old city and the Barbarossa castle ruins.
