With 33,960 inhabitants, it is part of the municipality of Sittard-Geleen. Geleen is situated along the river Geleenbeek, a right tributary to the river Meuse. The Latin name for Geleenbeek is Glana, meaning "clear river". The town centre is situated at about 60 m above sea level.

I've been hanging around in Sittard for almost 20yrs... The area is in a constant state of change, but for the better. The restaurant is very good. Excellent dishes and wine selection, friendly staff, and beautiful setting. Get a table overlooking the Center during summer. It's hard to beat. Dinner here is an all night experience, so don't plan on trying to jump in quick and be done in an hour. Perfect for people who want to converse, enjoy great food and wine, and soak up a beautiful setting.Practice some of your Dutch terms... There are No English menus available and a few of the wait staff speak limited English. The menu dishes are named In Italian, with Dutch descriptions. They are very friendly though, and the free wifi available helps. Some of my colleagues were constantly either asking me what things were, or using the "World Lens" app to figure out what they were ordering! Honestly though, everything is good, so just wing it... You won't be disappointed!

Ondanks de extreme hitte hebben we toch mogen genieten van de heerlijke lunch bij Osteria Cellini. De carpaccio was supervers en de uitgebalanceerde olie hield het gerecht licht. De lasagne van aubergine was ook heel mooi en smaakvol. Leuk detail was dat er op de cocktailkaart een wiskey sour vermeld stond en toen wij om een amaretto sour vroegen, die niet op de kaart stond, dat geen enkel probleem was. Het hoofdgerecht de pasta met Vongole, mosselen en scampi's ook helemaal vers en in balans. Evenals de parpadella met ragu. Het enige minpuntje was dat de temperatuur zo hoog was dat we niet op het gezellige terras konden plaatsnemen. Maar dat kunnen we niemand kwalijk nemen. We komen zeker terug als de temperaturen weer wat aangenamer zijn.

Finally we've got some time to give the new fancy thematic café in the Makado mall a try. We still didn't hear anything about it so we've made our choices "in the dark". What a lovely surprise. My husband ordered a kipsaté that was tasteful and juicy, as he said. My burger was beyond good, was truly the best I ever had. You could taste that it was not the cheap frozen meat what we see everywhere. It was fresh, nicely seasoned, tender, juicy, a party in the mouth. I think what makes the difference at Bickels is that everything is fresh made. Forget about those Makro potted salads on your plate or the traditional fries. Everything meal there is properly prepared. Way to go, the region missed a quality place like this. You've earned a frequent client!

Went out for dinner with our company (large group) at Il Trattamento. We shared the meals family style. Great selection of starters, followed by various pizza, pasta and finally a dessert. Waitresses are friendly, with food and drinks coming round pretty quick. Tiramisu was delicious! Weâll be back...

The best pizza's in town!The durum is first class as well. And the price is unbeatable.Friendly, helpfull owner.On the main street there is a choice of shoarma restaurants, pizza huts but this is the one of choice.

I had heard great things about this place and we had been meaning to visit for a while. We (family of 4) walked in with no reservation on a week night. Luckily there was 1 table left and the owner was more than happy to squeeze us in. The service was outstanding as was the food. I spoke with the chef who was Italian and his passion for food and the pride he took in his dishes was impressive. The Spaghetti alle vongole was on par with anything I tasted in Italy. Highly, highly recommended!!!

Our latest diner, on a special family occasion, we had a special menu dedicated to the recent renovation of the restaurant's interior (the renovation is a real improvement).It was delicious from starter to desert, good fresh quality ingredients, creative cooking based on traditional italian cooking with a hint of Campania, the region the Chef Carmine grew up in.The with wine from the list was excellent and the red wines by the glass suggested by host and co-owner Annechien wre equally delicious.The menu's at Pasta é Vino are recommendable but the á la carte dishes are wonderfull as well.I never had something here that wasn't just simply delicious.

Reeds lang bestaande zaak(meer dan 35jaar) waar nog een heerlijk broodje shoarma wordt geserveerd met 3 sauzen. Ligt aan de Rijksweg in Geleen in het centrum. Geen gratis parkeerplaatsen overdag maar na 18u wel behalve koopavonden. Van alle shoarma tenten die wij geprobeerd hebben is dit wel de standaard. Wij hebben geen lekkerder shoarmarestaurant kunnen vinden. Altijd plaats binnen zonder reserveren. Uitermate geschikt om snel een lekker broodje shoarma te eten. Verder kun je hier natuurlijk veel meer krijgen , ook frites en fricandellen etc maar die heb ik hier niet geprobeerd.Bij mijn weten elke dag geopend vanaf 16u. Mengeling van stijlen nl Egyptisch,Turks,pizza,frites ,spare ribs, vegetarisch. Ga alleen om te genieten van het eten. Dit is géén romantisch restaurant of restaurant met sfeer !
