I like their pizza okay but there is something odd/unfamilar and for me a bit off putting in either the sauce or the crust. I have eaten there several times so I know it is supposed to taste the way it does. I assume it is some type of regional specialty. That being said they are generous with their topping and the service is freindly and prompt. I haven't had their grinders but I did get a "Philly Cheese Steak" last time I went. I was sub par at best, forgive the pun. I guess having spent some time in the Philly area I am accustomed to a different way of preparing Philly Cheese Steaks.

Situated in a beautiful historic building in downtown Raleigh, Caffe Luna has been bringing authentic Italian cuisine with a Tuscan flair to the Triangle for over a decade.
A large group of friends went for dinner here and had a good time. We had some nice Italian food and Iâm picky about it. I had the penne con carcafia and it was good. My wife had the spinach stuffed ravioli and she enjoyed it. The service was good and I recommend this restaurant.

The spicy olive oil was a nice find. Pizza is huge so you could share. Music selection was awesome, heard The Guess Who while we ate. The beer selection was also stellar. Service was great! Highly recommended!

Ask any Italian-American what âgravyâ is, and they'll tell you it's the pasta sauce that their mothers and grandmothers cooked fresh every night. At Gravy Restaurant we take the same care, preparing our signature sauce every day using select tomatoes and
This was my first time here. Heard a lot about it so wanted to experience it. Four of us walked in without reservations on a Saturday night. Had to wait a bit but not too long. While waiting we got a drink at the bar. My first drink directly from the bar was good. We were seated and ordered. Our waiter was pleasant and professional. The food arrived quickly. I ordered the salmon dish. It was cooked to my specification. It was good, but I've had better Italian in Raleigh. Their food, at least on this night, needed salt (all four of us thought so) and there wasn't any salt or pepper at the table or any other tables. We had to request a salt shaker. My 2nd drink was a bit too strong, but hey, a lot of people won't complain about a strong drink! All in all, a solid 4 star review from me for food and service. Good, but not great in my opinion. I should go back and try another dish and re-review, but I don't get downtown all that often. Maybe I'll bring my own salt shaker next time. :-)

Traditional Italian Hand Tossed Pizza. We make our own dough and sauce and we even have our own blended cheese. No preservatives or fillers in our pizza. Just real food made by real people.
One of the best pizza pies I've ever had ! Husband and I stayed at the best western on mechanical boulevard which is really close to la Roma so they delivered right to our hotel room . We ordered online and within 20 minutes it was delivered. Very polite and fast ! Would recommend to everyone and would definitely order again when we visit the area again .

This is a casual Italian restaurant with lots of choices offered at affordable prices. We were a large group without a reservation on a Saturday evening. The staff was able to accommodate us quickly and efficiently. Our table was conveniently located and not too close to other tables. Sound level was fine and we could carry on decent conversations without screaming at the next person. The food is tasty and wholesome, and portions are large. I had lasagna with meat and cheese filling. Enjoyed every bite of it. The salad was served home style which was fine.
