We usually order Linguine con Vongole (fresh clams) and Spaghetti Carbonara. We enjoy both very much. I’ve tried and didn’t care for the Linguine Frutti de Mare (seafood) – good but just not a favorite. They also have pizzas. We always get the gelato for dessert. They have different flavors and I have not encountered any that I did not like. You can ask for a taste of the different flavors before choosing, too.

Our family has been a loyal follower of the big sister restaurant on Broadway so expectations were high for this smaller, satellite location. We welcomed the larger parking lot and the casual, friendly atmosphere. The menu was familiar, with many of our favorite dishes like the Emilia or grilled vegetable plate and signature pastas.Located near the college and local businesses, this Cafe is a popular eating destination and has something for everyone. A tough decision~to share, or not to share, it's up to you!

I would definitely recommend this place. I always get their Uni pasta with seaweed. It is so good. I have also tried their others pasta and also good. Try not to go during lunch as it is really packed.

Lomeli's Italian Restaurant

Come taste the difference at Lomeli's Italian Restaurant! Our menu is full of delicious classics, right out of Naples.

I visited Lomeli's for my first time recently and was painfully disappointed. This is Italian food for the American palette. Instead of bread for the table, we were given carrot sticks and ranch dressing (I guess that is better than nothing). I got pasta with clam sauce, which I would assume is meant to be similar to Vongole, but it in no way was. The sauce tasted like a bottle of dried oregano or parsley- I wasn't even sure, but it was covered in one of these dried herbs. Completely underseasoned otherwise but overwhelmed with that flavor. The clams were minced and even then, were few and far between. And the most egregious thing you can do is to serve overcooked pasta as an Italian restaurant, which this was 100%.The garlic bread was decent and got me through the meal. Basically, if you like Fettuccine Alfredo in large portions or similar Italian foods that Americans cling to, then you'll enjoy this. Otherwise, steer clear. It's unfortunate that you felt there was something lacking with your meal. I assure you that our culinary team cooks everything with top-quality ingredients and we work hard to make every dish as flavorful as possible. If there's ever something that seems off about your order, you are more than welcome to speak with our staff about any accommodations that need to be met -- that's why we're here! However, our doors will always be open for you if you decide to give us another shot. All the best,Carlo Lomeli, Owner

This was a total surprise, I’m new to LA and wasn’t sure where we were heading; it didn’t look like lunch territory. The restaurant appearance was almost makeshift with pallets of tomatoes creating an entrance way. That being said I loved it; more importantly you could tell it wasn’t a chainFood was prompt. The pizza was truly delicious, thin fresh non doughy crust, great sauce and fresh basil.menu choose extensive. We had a couple of starters too, these are large/ so one between two would have been fine.We could fit in desert but bakery goods looked fabulous too.I’m definitely coming agin - this is is a “GEM” in a sea of overpriced mediocre restaurants.
