This is one of my favorite restaurants. I really enjoyed eating the zucchini and shrimp pasta. This is one of my favorite dishes. I also got the mixed fried seafood, which was probably the best I have ever had. For dessert I had tiramisu, but my family members had ice cream with a mixture of berries. Both were excellent. I will definitely be back next time I am in the area. Also be aware that the menu does not have the prices on it.

We returned to the Veneto and hastened to get a reservation at this spectacularly sited modern trattoria, a beacon of good taste, originality, friendly and excellent service, superb quality and unforgettable culinary delight. If only it wasn't a 9-hour plane ride away from our home. We'd be here twice/month!

We dined here last night and it was absolutely delightful. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and in excellent condition. Signore Guglielmo and Ana took great care of us this evening. He was very detailed in explaining his fresh fish offerings for that night and very patient as I understand Italian but I don't speak it fluently. He prepared starters of fresh gnocchi in a pomodoro sauce for my wife and a lighty smoked swordfish for me. He also brought a small tasting of the gnocchi for me. Both were outstanding! The swordfish was thinly sliced on a bed of fresh crisp lettuce and drizzled with an olive oil, vinegar and lemon dressing, seasoned with salt and pepper just right. The gnocchi was light, the pomodoro sauce was as fresh and flavorful as we have ever had. We then had a seafood fagioli soup which included calamari and shrimp, very hearty and tasty. We were getting full and concerned that we would not be able to enjoy our second piatti. Our main came, branzino grilled and simply served with fresh lemons on the side. The fish was about 2 pounds, so it was a good size for the two of us. The plates were oven-hot and I could still hear the juices sizzling. It was grilled to perfection and expertly seasoned, no need to add anything to it! The skin was crispy, the fish was amazing, even my wife enjoyed it as she is not a big fan of fish. The seasoning, the fresh lemon juice and the freshness of the fish was absolutely fantastic. We had no room for dessert so we just enjoyed the rest of our rosè and watched the dining room get fuller. Signore Guglielmo and his wife Ana took personal care of everyone. He noticed that I got up to get a look at the fresh fish that he was displaying to a table and then decided to bring the various offerings to our table for us to look at before serving them to his other customers, it was so kind of him to interact with us to that level. He takes great pride in his cuisine and it is obvious how precise he is with his preparations. It was a high level show of great cuisine. We will be back as we are staying nearby for ten days.

I was in Asolo last weekend and discovered that Ca' Derton is closed in the centre of town and has reopened as Locanda Baggio just on the outskirts of Asolo. Ca' Derton is the name of the house where the restaurant was located for nearly 20 years, so they
The service was impeccable with the young woman carefully explaining choices and recommending excellent, reasonably priced wine. An amuse buche to begin, followed by beautiful wooden tray of bread and breadsticks. I got a salad, which was huge and very fresh. Suckling pig was superb. No room for dessert but did enjoy complimentary small mousse. Stunning from start to finish.

This restaurant is located outside the old town of Asolo - but it's worth the extra kilometers. It's absolutely not touristic! When we came for lunch the restaurant was crowded by locals - and they know why.The Pasta, excellent, the Tagliata prepared to perfection and the Tiramisu one of the best I ever had.Avoid the restaurants inside Asolo, instead drive here to have lunch!

Cucina veneta
Well, let's start by saying that the menu's not in English, but the owner speaks very good English and will promptly translate the whole menu for you! Very kind lady. The restaurant, is a little out of the way, but worth going to. Nice, quaint, romantic atmosphere, cosy, very athentic Italian.Good cuisine overall, also some special dishes from the area, worth trying!Great Grappa selection.
Top 10 Barbecue food in Bari Sardo, Province of Ogliastra, Italy

I should say at the outset that this review and rating is as a bar only as we did not eat there.Situated just inside the clock tower gate of the walled city, it is more a bar that serves food rather than a restaurant that serves drinks. There is a sizeable covered area outside, which always seemed crowded with locals (mainly younger people) enjoying drinks, while inside is only slightly less crowded but we did manage to get a table (although our visits were a Friday and Saturday evening when it is undoubtedly busier). We didn't see a menu as we only went in for a couple of beers as it looked the sort of place that was popular with younger locals and not tourists and had character rather than the more modern café style bars. However, on the bar is a selection of snacks (cheese on bread, ham on bread, crisps, toasted bagel and so on), regularly replenished and which are free. They will also give you a small plate to take a few to your table. They have a good selection of draft beers, and the free tapas-style snacks means that the drinks may be slightly more expensive to cover it, but not that much. For example, a large Tipo Pils (Italian) is 6.50 euro and the small glass 4.50 euro. It has a good and lively atmosphere, and the bar staff are friendly. I liked it very much for a few beers, even though Iâm certainly not of the younger gereration!
