My wife was delighted with her pizza, said it was delicious. Conversely, I was the one who picked up the pizzas. Service was very slow, and just didn't seemed very interested in serving people. The pizza was not very good! (my wife ended up finishing mine). Few toppings, skimpy on the cheese, kind of a weird sauce. All this for a pretty high price. So, now you decide!

Last week my wife and I visited a relatively new restaurant in the Farmington Park Station shopping center...the Couscous Grill. While I had the original Shwarma plate, she had the one with chicken. I had a salad as my side...she had the soup. We loved the food...it brought back memories of our trip to Morocco...and plan on returning soon!

When I arrived, the hostess greeted me with “JUST one” with a big emphasis- which did not get me off to a good start. The restaurant decor is stylish and modern. It appears as though you can be seated where you can watch the food being prepared, but I was not offered this seating location. I had the lobster tartare appetizer. The presentation was phenomenal – it was a work of art. This was enough for two people at $25. I’ve never eaten raw lobster before. There was a lemon flavoring sauce on the plate which was delicious. But when eating it I realized that I would rather have my lobster cooked instead of raw. My main course was the Tagliatelle al Porcini. This dish wasn’t as photo worthy, but did include plenty of mushrooms atop the pasta. I didn’t know that the mushrooms were just on top of the pasta until I started digging in. I should’ve mixed things together. So I ended up with a wad of pasta after eating the mushroom topping. I asked the waitress for a dessert recommendation and she suggested the tiramisu. This was the highlight of my meal. I would recommend just going to the restaurant just for the tiramisu. The portion wasn’t huge but it was absolutely delicious.I also sampled two of the specialty cocktails which were of high quality. My bill was $98 for one person. My disappointment was with the service. With the high prices that you’re paying I expect the service to be impeccable. My waitress was very professional but that doesn’t excuse the items being left on my table. I had plates that I was finished with sit on my table much longer than they should have. My empty bread spread tray was never cleared. And the worst part was that I wasn’t given a fresh knife after the old one had been taken away. I had to reach around the table behind me which luckily was unoccupied to get my own knife. At these prices that is inexcusable. The restaurant was not busy when I was dining. For such high prices, I was surprised to see other diners wearing jeans and T shirts. One couple entered wearing gym clothes like they just finished working out. So I’m not sure if Farmington is ready for fine dining, either. I would go back if someone else was picking up the bill.
