Itâs nice to see a favorite restaurant keeping up their standards. Avellinoâs is. The warm and friendly setting sets you up for a nice lunch or dinner. With the food being as good as it is, you will be in good shape. Go!

Situated in the center of historic Black Rock, Connecticut, Fire Engine Pizza Co. Is a collaboration of owners, Martin McCarthy and Phil Segneri, who have refined their skills within the restaurant industry for over 20 years. Widely known for specialty pi
So my fellow road dogs and I were looking for a good pizza to end the year with. We are a bunch of hungry dudeâs. So we decided to hit up this fire engine place. We were not disappointed. One pizza was a large plain the other 1/2 sausage and peppers and 1/2 bacon and pepperoni. Both pies were good and above average I thought the sauce was a little light and tasted OK but the cheese had a great aftertaste to it. The crust was chewy to crisp but not burnt. Also the lava cake was a good treat for a quick bite says Santana!! Wow, what a year it was for good food...Happy New Year!!Happy Dudes.....

Very traditional and authentic Italian Restaurant. Nice atmosphere and wood brick oven Gourmet Pizza Napoletana.
We had dinner with friends there last night and we all thoroughly loved it. The vibe, the service, and the food were all outstanding! Pasquale, the owner was very welcoming and warm. He was genuinely interested in what we liked about sour meal which led to a lengthy conversation about the quality of the food and why he pays extra to import certain foods he uses in the kitchen. We had salmon, bronzing and sole as well as the homemade tagliatelle and meatballs. All were really, really good, and we are all pretty fussy about our food, especially Italian! We ordered a bottle of Nebbiolo and for $48, it was outstanding too (so we had a second)! Try this wonderful restaurant and you will not be disappointed.

This was our second time here. The first time, years ago, the service was so bad, we vowed never to go back, but a friend raved about it, so we tried it again.Wrong move. The place is cozy and all, but the food.... dismal. The fried calamari was dark, dried out and almost inedible. Hubby ordered the "special" Angel Hair Pasta Peppers in a Balsamic Vinegar reduction. Didn't sound so bad, but when it arrived... the entire platter of pasta and vegetables were covered with a thick, brown sauce that tasted like vinegar! It was awful!Because our waiter was really nice, we just nodded our heads when asked how things were, but I think he knew.Just an awful experience,I'm sorry you didn't enjoy your meal. The chicken Scarpariello over angel hair pasta is one of our top selling dishes, but that doesn't mean it's for everyone. I wish you had been honest with our waiter, we would have gladly made something else for you right away.~Carmen Mancuso

Canât seem to get a consistent apizza experience here. Things have changed since Pepeâs has started franchising. We stopped in on an early Saturday night the first weekend in November. There were 8 people in front of us. It was expected. We waited 40 minutes to be seated. Meanwhile there was a steady stream of take out orders being processed and brought out. Our waitress came over to our booth as soon as we were seated and took our drink and food order. We waited. And waited. Actually 45 minutes for the apizza to be served. The line outside disappeared and the take out slowed down. We were puzzled as to the long wait. Our waitress said the pies that have meat take longer to make. That was her answer. Iâve eaten Pepeâs apizza since I was a little boy.....Many years. Never had to wait that length of time for a simple order of sausage and mushroom pie. To be fair, the apizza was good but, 2+ hours for this kind of (fast) food is not a reasonable length of time. This isnât a fine dining experience. I think management needs to give the kitchen some organizational training.

We had lunch al fresco on the patio. It was a very pleasant sunny day and the patio was comfortable with patio tables covered with umbrellas. We shared the margarita pizzaâwhich was even too large for 2 people and the grill chicken pineapple salad. They were both delicious.

We had a fantastic lunch here. They have many gluten-free options and the absolute best GF pizza weâve ever had. Even the gluten eaters enjoyed it. The salad was plentiful and fresh. The family raved about the fresh mozzarella. They enjoyed their sandwiches also. The service was friendly and helpful. Itâs a wonderful choice.

Here at Ralph n Rich's Restaurant we exceed all guest expectations by offering the freshest ingredients available served by a knowledgeable server staff that looks to go that extra step to provide the guest with that unexpected dinning experience.
We came here last night and the experience was absolutely fantastic!! All of our food was delicious and everyone went home happily with full bellies. The part that made our night the most special was our waitress, Nancy. She was entertaining, attentive, and made us feel right at home. Our parents are elderly and can be a bit challenging. She handled it flawlessly and treated them extremely well. We were very impressed with the entire place. I will be recommending it to all of my friends and can't wait to go back!

This highly popular (pricey) Italian restaurant, housed in a former railroad station, has excellent food and attentative service. However, it lacks the intimacy of an up scale Italian eatery. The main dining room has 20+foot ceilings, with white table clothed tables scattared throughout.Frankly, it's cold. The second floor dining area is isolated and would be good for private parties. To be seated there independently is being sentenced to a remote area; especially if there are few other diners. The new bar area, with high tables is an attractive spot to stop for a drink after disembarking the train.
