Went with a group of 8 two nights running. Across both nights my wife and I tried various options including Oysters, Marmite whole fish, seafood soup, fried Calamari, grilled John Dory, and Crepes Suzette. All meals were great and I would go back again. Highly recommended.

Italian Pizzeria in Essaouira's center. Takeaway available
This pizza place has a total authentic feel, whether you speak Darija, French,Italian or English. Also, it's the only place in the Medina that I've visited and found they use a REAL wood oven. Not only that, Lino also makes the masa madre every night for the next day. TL;DR effing good eating.

This is the best restaurant we've been to during our trip to Morocco. The food was delicious, the Moroccan wine was a nice discovery and at a very good price, and the staff and atmosphere contributed to the experience. We would highly recommend this restaurant.

Small and cozy Italian restaurant in the heart of the Medina of Essaouira, brother of the historic restaurant in Capoliveri, Elba Island, Italy. Few tables, to satisfy the desire for good Italian cuisine and good fresh fish. Welcomed by Mirella, the owner
Having read the feedback on this restaurant we thought we'd give it a go. To start with, the place is so grubby - tables, mats, menus, decor - way beyond shabby chic. The menu choice is limited & when one main is sold out & there's only one piece of fish left, if you don't fancy pasta you're stuffed really. We left. There are so many quaint restaurants within Essaorari serving delicious food that really do warrant a visit, this isn't one of them.

The Restaurant "Pasta Baladin" is a typical and stylish italian Pasta-Bar in the centre of the Medina of Essaouira, close to the historical place "Bab Skala" and the portuguese Bastion with the "Remparts". This small restaurant offers 4 different pastas w
Visited here as wanted a break from tagines ... service friendly & prompt though pasta was very basic. My pasta pesto was from a jar with nothing else added and my husbandâs carbonara was cream and cubes of meat, no other flavor. Food is cheap but disappointing the sauces were not more fresh/homemade. ... we could see the meals being prepared behind the counter so watched the ingredients.

A Restaurant - Pizzeria that respects the Italian tradition, with a typical Bolognese cuisine (the cook is Bolognese). All the basic ingredients come directly from Italy, and some types of fresh pasta (Tortellini, Lasagne, Tagliatelle, etc.) are made by h
If you feel like deviating for Moroccan cuisine while in Essaouira, this restaurant is the perfect choice. It is easy to find with Google Maps and offers authentic Italian cuisine. I had the home-made tagliatelle with mushrooms and sausage. And, panna cotta as desert. Not cheap, but excellent.

Charming Italian restaurant. In this beautiful location you can find products imported every week from Italy. Fresh pasta like ravioli and gnocchi are home made every day. Carpaccio, italian charcuterie and tiramisu are real must. Pizzas are like the best
Shame we made a reservation for our daughters birthday thinking they would mark the occasion. We had to insist on the booth I had requested and they didnât even wish her happy birthday. The pizzas were good but the prices were UK prices. Dear Madame I'm sorry if you didn't enjoy your dinner at Gusto. As the waiter explained to you when you come to book the day before, and you checked the prices, we don't take reservation for a specific table. Anyway, also if the restaurant was fully booked, we managed to give you the table you liked. As you can imagine, nearly every day we have guests celebrating birthdays at Gusto. The moment they ask for the desert we add a candle and, as we have live music every night, we play an happy birthday song. It was not your case simply because you didn't ask for a desert nor something special. For better understand what you mean with "Good but very expensive", your bill for your three people dinner was 370 dhs, about 29 pounds or 34 Euro. Less then 10 pounds or 12 Euro per person. Please remember this is a restaurant. If you are not searching for good quality food, good service, nice ambience, if you are only searching for cheap food, please DON'T come to Gusto. All the best.Federico Rolla
