Reviews on Italian food in Emerald Isle, North Carolina, United States. Located about a 2 ½-hours drive from the state capital of Raleigh, this welcoming strand of coastline is the perfect blend of solitude and activities. Emerald Island is by no means desolate. There are plenty of funky shops that sell traditional beach trinkets, including T-shirts, toys and water toys for the entire family. If it’s outdoor activities you want, you will find plenty of opportunities for swimming, fishing, surfing, snorkeling, scuba diving, boating, sailing and more. Kids love flying kites along these sandy white beaches. You can also enjoy a plethora of sightseeing, shopping, golf and other fun activities.

If you're used to NY, NJ, or Phila pizza, lower your expectations. That said, its okay. Didn't try their other stuff so I can't comment on that. The pizzas are big, so you get a whole lotta mediocre. But usually a nice staff, and its just about the only game in town.

The Olive Garden in Morehead City is average. The food was ok though the make your own lasagna came with 2 large dry meatballs rather than the mini meatballs that were ordered. The server was very good. He made recommendations & was very attentive.

Let me cut to the chase. Donât go! Read the âClueless â and Apologetic Staffâ reviews . This was my experience. I waited 45 minutes for two manicotti dinners and a small cheese/tomato pizza take out order. Photos posted. I went there to order after trying to order by phone (my fault should have known then not to go there). Got my $30 order. The manicotti was tasteless and cold. The cheese/tomato was cold and soggy with oil. The entire front is ran by one lady (orders, server, cleans, etc). I live full time at EI. I have gone there during the off season and never had this experience. Never again!

Ate at Frank's last night. Typical great service followed by great food. The pizza is thin crust with excellent sauce and cheese. The other specialties are just as good. I had the lasagna. Chunks of sausage, gooey cheese, and great tomato sauce! With a very fresh salad and and a loaf of hot garlic bread! Tremendous!

It's no surprise that the tap water in this area is terrible. Different restaurants in the area deal with this problem, with varying degrees of success, using filtration. Some places have better filtration systems than others. Apparently this Michaelangelo's makes no effort at all. Their water, the sodas from their soda fountain, and their tea all taste terrible. Horrifically bad. It's a shame, because this location has a great location, a spacious and clean dining room, and the best staff of the Michaelangelo's in the area. Their pizza is consistently great, and they have great daily specials in the off-season. The situation with their beverages, however, is truly unforgivable, especially since we know that it could be resolved with the investment and maintenance of a good filtration system.
