Visited with two other couples based on a recommendation, and we were not disappointed. We have frequented other nearby restaurants on numerous occasions and never knew of this place. Itâs located in a strip of shops and the developer clearly underestimated the popularity of multiple eating establishments making parking a challenge. Once inside we were delighted with the atmosphere. Wide open space with great natural lighting and very conducive for table conversation (the bar area may be different). We were seated in a large booth which was perfect for a party of six. Very nice wine selections by the bottle and glass with a wide range of varietals and moderate pricing. Started with warm freshly baked bread, followed by a tasty Caesar salad (included w/ entree). My wife thoroughly enjoyed the Cannelloni Al Forno ($17) generously portioned and prepared in an exceptional tomato cream sauce. My selection was the Beef Tenderloin Modega ($19) topped with mozzarella, mushrooms and prosciutto in a garlic lemon sauce and complimented with asparagus and a wonderful sun-dried tomato polenta - Italian corn meal made with soup stock (Yes, I had to look it up). Finished off by sharing their tiramisu (huge portion so donât order two). Will be back to sample more of the menu. Great all around dining experience.

We have been here 3 times, 2 times as a couple sitting at the bar and eating dinner and one as a large family group for a special occasion. We love the food here but the service is so wonderful, old school bartenders and waiters that are lifelong professionals but very personable and fun. We love the Aracini which is offered nightly and we love all of the pastas. My son had a Filet that he said melted in his mouth and the best he ever had. I usually do a light or white sauce pasta but last night has the meatballs and they were so good. We will keep returning here for casual date nights at the bar and for family celebrations. Just the best in food and service.

Charlie Gitto's From the Hill delivers "The Hill's" iconic Italian dining experience to Chesterfield
We visited Charlie Gitto's on the Hill ten years ago as our brother-in-law grew up in the area and highly recommended it. Low and behold, it was near the hotel we are staying at so we decided to give it a try for a 'snack'. We arrived around 8"30 pm and were treated as if it were dinner time..welcomed with a smile. We said we were just there for a snack, and they seated us and treated us as guests of the family. Hubby had noodle soup, me a salad, and cheese bread. The best part was the Sangria! And then the deserts, which we got to go, but sampled as soon as we got to the hotel. Overall a great experience. We look forward to returning.

Wouldn't miss eating here when we visit in St. Louis. Love the salad- always ask for extra artichoke hearts. Our favorites are the roast beef sandwich and pasta con broccoli. Monday night special is all you can eat pasta with salad and bread. A good deal even if you only have 1 plate of pasta. Very quick and friendly service.

Really great wait staff, superb. Use the Yelp Wait ap to save a place in line for yourself, very busy on a Friday/Sat. Food was good to great, not excellent. Nothing wrong with it, just not 'groan-worthy'. Ambience is medium, not fancy, but not institutional. We will return and try more on the menu.

Staff was very nice and the restaurant was full. I do recommend you make a reservation. It's very loud and the seating is tight. The staff was helpful, BUT it is absolutely not handicap accessible inside the restaurant. Average customer age seemed to be about 55+ and lively on the night we visited. Food was a bit below average and overpriced. Décor is the typical 50's faux Italian as another individual commented in a review below. There is a tv at the south end of the bar that creates the illusion of the lights malfunctioning/flickering in the dining area which was very unpleasant. There obviously is a loyal crowd. Just not one to add to our list.

I really liked the pizza here even though my wife thought it was only average. My pepperoni and sausage slice was very tasty overall even though I might have preferred the crust to be slightly thinner. You can get slices here of any variety and additional toppings are only .$.30, quite reasonable. Overall value was good as 2 can eat here with a drink (soft) for under $10. Service was a bit slow but quality does take longer I guess. I would definitely go back. Among the best pizza I've found so far in St. Louis.

Boardwalk Pizza is proud to be family owned. Our pizzas are made with fresh, house made, hand tossed dough. We guarantee youâll enjoy the best and most affordable East Coast style pizza in West County!
I ordered a calzone. The insides/toppings were good enough but the crust honestly tasted like cardboard. Even grocery store pizza crust tastes better than this. My friend got a gluten free pizza and she loved it! But we thought both of our orders were cooked too long.Hi, Madison. We apologize that your order fell short of your expectations and we'd love to have another shot at knocking your socks off! We invite you to visit again and we'll do our best to ensure you have a perfectly cooked, flavorful calzone.
