First time in Detroit and everyone said I had to visit Buddyâs. Service was quick and pleasant, pizza was good but nothing to write home about. Kind of tastes like Pizza Hut to me. They also messed up on my friendâs pizza, and they took it off the bill.Cee, we're sorry to hear we've missed the mark with you, as it's essential for us to get orders correct. We would like to learn more about your visit and how we can improve, please reach out to us at [email protected], and include your name, contact information, the location of your visit and this review link for reference. Friends recommended or we never would have gone. Very glad we did. Pleasant and comfortable decor, easy parking. The menu is large and diverse. The wine list while not huge is interesting and reasonable. Service is professional in every respect. Tried the house veal, the eggplant parm, and some pasta everything was delicious. One minor issue, the Caesar salad was a disappointment, the house dressing was bland, the Parmesan was insufficient and the croutons hard. The salad aside it was a most enjoyable evening, we will return.
This restaurant is going through long awaited renovation. It has large parking space available and easy access from a main street. Serving staff was friendly and attentive and good quality was average. Because of on going renovation, our table had some kind of brown looking glue stuck at 7 different spots which I pointed out to one of the managers who said they will take care of it but did not bother to clean it right away. One of the food entre' contained mussels in it and broken shell pieces were present inside the mussel. Tap beer was not available because of having no keg. Electronic bill paying system had no paper, even though I wanted to print my bill.

Italian American Restaurant and Pizzeria Since 1964, Family Friendly, Catering On-Site or Off-Site. Full service bar and friendly servers. All Soups and Sauces are made in house from scratch. All meats are hand trimmed and seasoned to perfection in house.
Older restaurant had a very friendly staff. Our waitress suggested a few meals from different sections of the menu. We followed her recommendations. The chicken A La Firenze was nicely seasoned and served with a spicy dipping sauce. Chicken Parmesan was also a very good suggestion. The table next to us ordered fried cheese cake for dessert which looked very good. The table said the cheesecake was perfection. Thanks for the great review.

The food was pretty good, not the best I have had there.Tons of spaghetti, it equaled out to about five servings. Pizza was very bland and I don't recommend it.I had a watermelon drink, the glass was so small I drank it in four sips. Not worth the money for the amount you get. Although, it was delicious!

My wife picked this restaurant for our anniversary dinner. She had the veal Siciliano and I had the lake perch. Both were well prepared and clearly homemade. My wife said the veal is the best she has had in any restaurant in this area. The breading on the fish was just right - this is one of the rare times where breading is just as enjoyable as a good batter. The main entrees were so big that I couldn't finish my fries and she ended up taking home her entire side of pasta. The salad and bread basket are good but nothing surprising that makes you want to fill up on them and have your entree boxed to take home. So, interpret the rating based on how important to you those items are vs. the main course. If I rated on the entree alone it would be 5 stars easily. It looks like the kind of neighborhood restaurant that has stayed the same for decades. I really like that kind of restaurant because they put everything you pay for right there on your plate. But if a stylish atmosphere is a big deal to you, this isn't that kind of place.

We have been family owned and operated for 68 years. Our pizzas are Stone Baked, and our dough is made fresh daily. Come try our Original Detroit Style Square Pizza. Also, now available by popular demand: Our delicious, hand-made, Gluten free pizza.
My family used to prefer this over Buddyâs any day, but the last few times weâve been here have been consistently bad.Long wait times for a half empty building, half cooked food, wrong toppings on the pizza, you name it. If they could screw it up, they would.5 years ago? 5 stars.Today? 1 star.
