Second visit and excellent again. A "proper" Italian with good atmosphere and traditional feel. Very friendly, accommodating and happy owner and staff. Also friendly customers with great pre-match chat. I was told the restaurant has been here 50 years - testament to a great restaurant. Dessert was excellent ..... a 9-0 win.

Our philosophy echoes that of the Italian Bacari - that the simple pleasures are the most important for our health and wellbeing. Good wine, delicious food and the company of friends are the recipe for a life well lived. Relax with us and enjoy a few Chic
To celebrate a friends birthday 12 of us visited for brunch, the restaurant helpfully contacted us in advance and suggested that rather than pre-order which is always tricky to co-ordinate that we let them choose the dishes for us. We were greeted at the door by very friendly staff member and served drinks whilst we waited for everyone to arrive. The restaurant has a lovely relaxed feel and we had 2 round tables together which allowed the conversation to flow. The food was really tasty, they choice a very wide range of dishes for us to try from delicious crispy thin pizza to fish and vegetarian options, every new dish was greeted with delight and clean plates which is always a bonus in a big group trying to please everyone. The wine flowed and our glasses were generously refilled before empty with high quality wine. Overall we were all very impressed and felt we had both had a lovely experience and great value for money.

I went to the restaurant with my partner. We were sat at a table next to a cabinet right to the main restaurant thoroughfare. We asked to move when we were sat there and were told we would be moved. We ordered the Calzone and Pollo Valdostana respectively. The former was a nice dise. The latter was disappointingly small. A very small chicken breast on top of three very small potatoes and hardly any vegetables. The sauce was very nice but I finished this very quickly. For £18, I would expect something more. I was offered a dessert as compensation (chocolate tart) which was really nice but I felt let down given the TripAdvisor reviews.

Popsi's specialises in freshly handcrafted Pizza's baked in a traditional stone built oven. Using the best of British and Italian ingredients we are confident you'll find us the number one pizza place to eat at in Southampton.
I Went to Popiâs With my partner, sister in law, Italians and daughters of a proud former pizzaiolo ;) along with my and 2yo little son last Saturday and I canât say enough about the place, the girls on the floor service are brilliant, so friendly and helpful. The pizza is perfect, light and tasty dough, very nice menu choices, that makes difficult to pick from, delicious. We live in London and every time we go out for a pizza or any other meal thereâs a complaint about something, ALWAYS apart from last Saturday.Thank you all and itâs such a pity you are so far from us.Thatâs amazing! We are so pleased you enjoyed your visit! Hopefully we will see you again when you make it out of London next time :)

We all had a wonderful dinner. Every dish chosen was presented to an excellent standard. An accomplished wine list complements the extensive menu. Service was very friendly and accomplished, including from the young staff, which was great to see. The welcoming atmosphere simply wants me to come back soon, as there are many items on the menu I would like to sample.Well done for keeping standards so high!

New Italian cafe in Eastleigh
Absolutely terrible service. Ordered one salmon and one pizza when nobody else was in the cafe. Two other couples came after us and left before we even had our main. The pizza wasn't freshly prepared it was frozen and the salmon was over-salted. The entire menu is expensive and not worth the effort.

Italian Family Run Restaurant Since 1983.
Used this Italian restaurant for many years when I worked in Eastleigh but have not been back for a while since I retired. I was not disappointed as the meal was excellent. Paolina, the owner, recognised me and greeted me warmly. We started with Carta de Musica and olives, a favourite appetiser in times gone by. My main was baked chicken breast with spinach and mushrooms in a white wine sauce and a side of sauted potatoes. My wife had penne with smoked salmon. Both dishes were excellent and washed down with Pinit Grigio and a delightful Sardinian red wine, Cannanau. A delightful evening.
