Our second visit to Vivo was all of these things in my title. Our pizzas were delicious and may I recommend having the spicy oil & peppers on the side; which our waitress Jessica, offered to us...homemade and hot...great for each slice...especially when washing it down with a tall, cold Peroni which is on tap...a great pairing. Our meals arrived quickly and were prepared nicely. I love the atmosphere at Vivo and our server looked after us very well. We had a visit and nice chat with Marco who runs the kitchen and the business. May I state, I prefer Vivo over most all of the other Italian eateries in Newmarket & Aurora. Try it and you will see what I mean. I may see you on my 3rd visit! GFB

I absolutely love Al Casale Ristorante. I always choose it for my birthday celebrations, special occasions and for dining out with friends and family. The staff are friendly, courteous and attentive, without being overbearing or intrusive. They have small out of the way tables for romantic dinners and larger rooms for family or group gatherings. I have enjoyed every meal I've eaten there and my seafood-loving family and friends tell me they have the best calamari anywhere. It is, without a doubt, my favourite restaurant!

The Pizza was excellent, just how I remember pizza when I was growing up. The toppings were fresh and abundant. The crust thin and crispy and delicious. Not inexpensive but an excellent pizza that will have you returning for more. A warning, they get you on the toppings, the price can go up rapidly if you like a lot of different toppings. A great pizza by any standard.

After hearing good things about this place, we decided to finally give it a try. Unfortunately, it was not a good experience. They forgot the extra toppings we ordered on the pizza and there was a long hair in our first bite of garlic bread with cheese. This could have just been one bad time for this business but unfortunately it left us with a bad impression, and we probably won't be trying it again.

This last Friday night we drove up to Newmarket from Toronto just to experience for the first time the food at Zuccas.i had the egg plant parmigiana and the others in my party the lasagnia. Absolutely the best eggplant parmigiana I can ever remember having. Try as I might I could not finish it. Well after we finished dinner our server asked us if we would like dessert. OMG their Tiramisu was to die for and it was such a huge slice that 3 of us had a hard time finishing it. This place is the best kept secret in Newmarket. If I could change one thing about this fine establishment it would be to extend their hours of closing from 9pm to 11pm.at least on Friday & Saturday night Looking forward to coming back once again very soon, definitely worth the drive!

Palace pizza has hands down one of the best pizzas you can buy. Sadly, they are ripping off their customers. Over the last few months, I have paid 4 different prices for the same large pepperoni pizza. For the record, pricing went up and down, not just up. I bought a large pepperoni pizza tonight, was told $16. BUT, the price is $13.80 plus tax, which I confirmed with the man behind the counter. I told him in that case it's $15.60, NOT $16. Right away, very defensively, his wife, who was sitting at the table, tells me prices are subject to change without notice. Ok, that's fine, but your husband, the co-owner JUST confirmed it's $13.80. So the price changed in last 10 seconds? They gave me back the difference and I went home. Checked all my past receipts, and sure enough, EVERY one of them is rounded up to the nearest dollar. Usually resulting in a $0.50 difference. So heads up, confirm why you are paying when you go there. Pizza is phenomenal, but they rip you off in the process.

The veal parmigiana was delicious specially with the spaghetti a la bolonhesa. Wife had the fettuccine pescatto and loved it. Some friends had the risoto and also praised it a lot. Service was impeccable and super friendly. Great night with great food.

Very nice atmosphere and I felt like I was in little italy with the hostess/server with heavy italian accent. :) Presentation was good, taste was superb, portions superb. House wine (shirez) was surprisingly excellent. The calamari was cooked just perfect which is not easy. veal selection of the day could have used not button mushrooms but morels would have been a better choice. One of us had a seafood dish which was exactly that - a huge dish of seafood with salmon, lobster, calamari (whole) , jumbo shrimp, scallops, small shrimp in the pasta and i think crab. it was huge portions of each and great. All pastas where very good.
