After over 5 hours on the road in bad rain storms, it was a relief to find this place just before our motel! The place is in the process of a remodel, so things were a little less than up to the "norms" of an Olive Garden, but the employees were friendly and polite! Our waitress was wonderful, and took care of our needs during the entire meal! Food was just ok....quantity was more the adequate, but quality wasn't what we've had at other Olive Gardens. But this is one of the only places we've eaten at ever to have employees open the door for us arriving, and leaving! This says a lot to my wife and I, and we felt like our business was very much appreciated! These employees are the kind of people that we would want working for us! We will definitely be stopping here on our next trip thru Dubuque!

The decor has been updated: very understated, kinda like the food. I used to like this place, despite it's shopworn look. But with the new furnishings the cuisine's character has been removed. Sweet, bland red meat sauce (with undetectable meat), meatballs lacking flavor served hardly warm and garlic bread with only the barest trace of garlic. The Flowering Onion appetizer was good; my companion's Seafood Alfredo, passable. I will choose somewhere else the next time I have a taste for Italian food in Dubuque.

Marco's Italian & American Foods Provides Italian and American Dinners, Pizza, and Sandwiches for Dine In, Carry Out and Delivery to the City of Debuque IA.
An older restaurant located in the down town. The design is more of a bar with Italian food. The pizza was very good with fresh sausage prepared on site. The cheese bread was unique as it came a loaf with the cheese in between slices. Overall a good place with quality and tasty food. Only draw backs are ; very limited parking and the location is in a so so area of town.

I have been going to the Shot Tower for 50 years. Damn, I'm getting older. The pizza always has been good but not fantastic. This is not a negative. You will always get consistent quality and good service. I'm always looking for that next great pizza. The shot tower special pizza is the way to go. My wife loves the tenderloin sandwich basket. The beer selection will get you by. Bloody Mary's are Good.

Weâve eaten at Marioâs for over 38 years. Weâve started using Restaurant.com so we can eat here more often. Service excellent, one of two best Italiano food restaurants in city, and priced reasonable. Specials everyday spotlight some of the menu bests. Focused on Italian from eastern shores of Italy, the authentic sauces and selection came over with Mario and Angelina. Mario passed in past two years, but Angelina and children have kept its reputation going strong. Tell them the General sent you.

My family loved this place. 10 day vacation. First meal where no one complained about anything. Super clean and friendly. Pretty healthy. Pizza and salad was so tasty!!Thank you for your kind words JW. We strive for being fast, fresh, friendly and immaculately clean. We are not a chain. We are local Dubuque and source locally when possible. We make virtually everything from scratch on site in our prep kitchen , all doughs, gluten free dough included, sauces and even salad dressings. We are glad you noticed and could tell the difference.

Vinny Vanucchi's "Little Italy" is located in a storefront on Main Street in downtown Dubuque. A very nice (and large) menu. Nice ambiance and excellent service - thanks Maddie. We both had pasta and meatballs with a side of hot sausage. Our choice was certainly not daring but a really good test of gravy (sauce). The marinara was rich, chunky and absolutely not acidic. The pasta was not al dente, but was OK. The restaurant is located just a short walk on Main Street from the Hotel Julien.
