Find out what Italian restaurants to try in Dun Laoghaire. Dún Laoghaire (Irish pronunciation: [d̪ˠuːn̪ˠ ˈɫeːrʲə]) is a suburban coastal town in County Dublin, Ireland, about 12 km (7.5 miles) south of Dublin city centre. It is the county town of the Dún Laoghaire–Rathdown district. Formerly a major port of entry from Great Britain, it was known as Dunleary until 1821 when it was renamed Kingstown in honour of King George IV's visit that year, and in 1920 was given its present name, the original Irish form of Dunleary.

Had dinner here 2 days ago with 2 girlfriends. Teeny tiny restaurant sitting probably 22-24 max. Authentic Italian run by Italians with excellent service and very tasty food. The starters are made for sharing, we had bruschetta of avocado and tomato and bresaola with rocket and pecorino. Both fresh and seasoned perfectly. For mains, we all had pasta - pasta was fabulous ,light as a feather.Highly recommend this restaurant,go before everyone discovers it! I will certainly be returning.

I love both Michaelâs and Little Mikes. First off their staff are amazing, so welcoming and accommodating and knowledgable about their menu. The food is simply stunning, if you love great steak and seafood you are in for a treat. I first learned about this restaurant from a business friend of mine and he suggested I visited, so I did. Since then Iâve taken many of my clients for a real experience of Irish seafood and fish in Michaelâs and Little Mikes and theyâve left being very impressed. A trip to both Michaelâs and Little Mikes will not disappoint. Never mind the stuck up review yer man gave below.Canât wait for my next visit. Keep up the great work guys!

Cozy neighbourhood restaurant serving authentic Neapolitan wood-fired pizza. Delicious antipasti, salads, and weekly specials as well.
16 if us went here for meal recently, all family.Daughter asked for any pizza with chicken, they don't have chicken. They did'nt have wine cooler for the white wine, did'nt have ice cream and when they asked us did we want coffee, they only had espresso?????Pizzas were goey texture, not good.My wife had been here before and said pizzas were lovely so don't know what happened this night.Would'nt go back. Dreadfull!!!!!This from the man who gave the the Giantâs Causeway 3 stars for being ânothing specialâ and âjust a few odd shaped rocksâ and called a chicken burger he ate in Spain âlovely, just like KFC.â No, we donât have chicken.Yes, we only serve espresso. Sorry we were out of gelato that night. And we brought you a wine cooler for your white wine.

We first opened our doors in 1987 and have been a firm family favourite for the last 30 years. We specialise in pizzas which we make in full view of our diners. A full range of beers spirits and wines is available. If you cant make it to us, we will come
Recommended by a friend, I went to check this place out. This would be a typical pizza eatery: all the usual suspects on the menu. Children happy. I got a decent lunch deal, with small pizza and leafy side salad. Big plus was a jug of water for us, even before we ordered. Thats a nice gesture.

Our last meal in Ireland was at this little gem of a restaurant! After eating traditional Irish food for 9 days it was nice to have some Italian food and delicious, authentic Italian food at that. The service was simply perfect, attentive and friendly all while leaving us to enjoy ourselves and our meals. Thanks Ragazzi for a wonderful dining experience.

Have eaten here before and restaurant extremely good. Can not fault food or service BUT....... was given a 9:00pm booking this evening. Showed up at 9:15 and was INTERROGATED as my booking was not on their system!!! Told to wait but had to stay in lane outside restaurant for 15 minutes in the cold...... finally told no table and had to leave...... we were a party of four and no where else available at this late hour...... NOT IMPRESSED....... did not make a scene but really PISSED OFF to say the least............ PLEASE train your staff regards booking and how to handle the customer in this scenario as you really left yourselves down with a bang tonight...... A DISGRUNTLED FORMER CUSTOMER..... Dear DarrenWe apologise about the mistake we made last night with your booking, we were extremely busy last night. We have to check with all our customers if they have a booking, and we didnât mean to be rude to you. Firstly, I never asked you to wait in the lane downstairs, I asked you if you could wait for fifteen minutes in Goggins Pub and have a drink while we tried to get a table for you. And by the second time you came up, I asked if you could give us another fifteen minutes as we were trying to get a table for you, and I asked if you would like to have a glass of Prosecco in our restaurant bar or if you would like to go back down to Goggins for another fifteen minutes. The lady then decided to leave and said it was too late for dinner. However, this is not an excuse for the mistake we made, and we apologize if we ruined your night. We will improve our booking system from now on. If you could contact me [email protected], I would be grateful for that.

This popular restaurant is open daily for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. You will find seasonal Italian-inspired menus paired with a stunning sea view, alongside a beautiful bar. Haddington House began its journey as Oliveto and youâll see from the quality
Booked here for a family get together. Could not get over the price of our bill the end. We were never given children's menus, just told what food there was so when the bill arrived we were very unhappy. Small bowl of PLAIN pasta for a 2 year old was â¬6???? Childrens pizzas â¬9 then to add on a scoop of ice cream was â¬12. Our waitor didnt smile once, ladies on the main desk where people arrive to be seated looked stressed and miserble. Will most definitely not return due to the over priced menu, unhappy staff and price of drinks menu, over â¬11 for an aperol sprizr, Oliveto your in Dun Laoghaire not rome. Lower your prices and brush up on customer service. Take a leaf out of the Italian restaurant down the road from yourselves.Dear Sarah, thanks for taking the time to review Oliveto. We are genuinely sorry to hear that you were disappointed with our pricing structure and service levels. The prices of our menu items are carefully worked out for each item. We are currently working on our children's offerings, to streamline them further. Please contact me directly at [email protected] and I can resolve this with you directly. Kind regards, Chloe

My familyâs favorite restaurant. I am constantly craving their food ESPECIALLY the seafood linguine - the best I have ever had. So unique and the staff are all so friendly and seem like their own little family. We find it difficult to book any other restaurant as we know we can always rely on and completely enjoy our experience and our food at Thats Amore !
