We ate dinner here while working in Dublin. Food was above average, but a little slow to come out. Good waitress kept drinks coming until food arrived. Atmosphere is unimpressive as mentioned in other posts, but food and menu selection make up for it. I'm not sure if the AC was broken or just ineffective, but it was quite warm inside during our visit.A safe

We were visiting Radford for the night and I had a craving for pizza (had to be gluten-free) and my husband wanted traditional Italian. Did a little search on TripAdvisor and found Sal's. It is as good as the reviews say! The little strip shopping center it is in is being remodeled right now, but don't let that turn you away. It is surprisingly large inside and very nicely decorated. The service was excellent, and the menu is huge! Bread and dipping oil is brought to your table to keep you satisfied while you try to decide what dinner to eat. My gluten-free pizza with sausage, onions, and green peppers was much larger than I expected for a medium and very, very tasty. My husband had gnocchi and said it was excellent, too. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Visited on a Saturday night. We had a large group and had excellent service. The food was excellent. I have dined at Sal' Jr. and Sal's. Both are good. I do like the more intimate experience at Sal's Jr. The prices are very reasonable. We are all we could and should consume in a meal for about $15 a person.
My wife and I decided to explore. She had heard of this place, near Ollies, said the food was good. IT WAS!!! It is a kind of Italian restaurant, I ordered my usual Grilled Chicken Salad with Balsamic dressing. It had lots of chicken on a good salad. My wife ordered a Stromboli. Both of us had plenty to eat and a generous portion to take home. Price was reasonable! It is not a restaurant with exciting decor. It is plain and functional. But the food is well worth the visit!!!
