C siamo fermati in questo locale lungo la strada, per una veloce colazione. Molto parcheggio comodo lungo la strada. Tavoli all'aperto ed all'interno. Molto affollato. Servizio celere. Buone le consumazioni di caffè e cappuccino. Croissant già finiti.

Bar Rudi is an amazing stop when in Santa Maria Maggiore. The food was excellent. If you order wine you will receive a huge portion of bread and prosciutto as an accompaniment. There is a really nice menu with outstanding prices. The bathroom was immaculately clean and nice to use. It is a wonderful stop!

This restaurant is a bastion of local cuisine. It specialises in typical mountain dishes such as, tagliatelle ai funghi porcini (pasta with mushrooms). The service was nice and gave good advice, pasta came quickly and was really good. The price was very convenient, and we loved the typical look and feel of the place.

Un ottimo gelato artigianale!...ma il trattamento riservato alla clientela è diverso a seconda se sei un turista occasionale o una persona del posto, un frequentatore abituale!!!!Ci siamo stati per un aperitivo in famiglia (ore 18.00), abbiamo preso due gelati per i bambini, una birra, un'acqua tonica e un caffè.Non ci è stato portato nessuno snack (che tra l'altro mi sembrerebbe una cosa normale all'ora dell'aperitivo).Al tavolo di fianco c'era un avventore abituale, da solo, che stava finendo il bicchiere di birra. Il cameriere è passato e chiamandolo per nome gli ha chiesto se avesse voluto qualche snack o delle patatine. Che poi gli ha portato.Perché questa differenza di trattamento? Perché a non non è stato chiesto nulla?Di sicuro ci penserò due volte prima di ritornarci!

la location e' suggestive, accanto ci sono I cavalli, che forse sarebbe da controllare come vengono tenuti, bello lo sfondo delle montagne, personale gentile.Birra buona, per quanto riguarda la cucina.....non posso classificarla in quanto ci hanno portato dei salumi come antipasti che non erano nulla di special e poi una costina a testa e una salamella alla brace con polenta.caffe e grappa....totale 25 euro a testa.il prezzo ci sta in quanto abbiamo bevuto 2 birre a testa e quindi ok.va giusto bene per un pranzo veloce in compagnia tra amici senza nessuna pretesa

Hearty meals, maybe too much. Invited by friends I had lunch at this restaurant a couple of weeks ago. I hate having to leave the food in my plate, but there was no options. All in all, the quality is decent, friendly service, the environment a little 'too chaotic, but I am not surprised by this. Not worth the trip, for sure, but if you are in this area, it can be a good choice. Good prices!

In un paesino caratteristico, c'è questo locale di cucina tipica dove la polenta non manca mai, come il sorriso della proprietaria.ottimo servizio e un panorama spattacolare.

Having stopped off for a pizza for lunch, we were so impressed that we returned some days later for dinner. Apart from excellent pizza, they have an array of local delicacies. We tried the wild boar stew as well as the venison. We both agreed it was excellently prepared and served.The indoor area is cosy with a Swiss feel while the outdoor area can be cool in inclement weather. But you can't fault the service or the food at inexpensive prices

Le Colonne is a must if you are travelling between Domodossola (I) and Locarno (CH) in Val Vigezzo (a.k.a. known as Centovalli). As testified by the comments on Le Colonne predominantly being written in Italian, this is a restaurant favored by the Italians as opposed to those restaurants mostly attracting foreign tourists. And yes, this a 'ristorante', not a 'trattoria' or a 'pizzeria'. The menu includes excellent, less common items. The salad with rabbit tenderloin as a first course was simply great. Veal cheek as a main course had been prepared superbly tender and delicious. Bread selection is also beyond the usual, including black grissini and several other types of tasty bread made in-house. I was met with very attentive and friendly service. Despite the rain pouring for several hours the evening I visited Le Colonne, the townsfolk were also plenty. Considering the food, the wine, the service and the ambience, the prices are well in balance and a visit is most recommended.

posto pulito e accogliente. il personale ci ha accolto in modo cordiale e gentile. il menu c'è l'imbarazzo delle scelta fra paste fatte in casa e contorni da accompagnare alla polenta. consiglio la polenta nera... buonissima. ottima qualità /prezzo.
