The name Dimapur is derived from the Dimasa language]; 'Di" means "water", "ma" means "large" and "pur" (sanskritised word) means "city", translating to "Big-river-city", associated with the meaning of "Kachari" which is "people of the river valley" and after the river which flows through it (Dhansari). It is also the gateway to Nagaland and its only railhead. The city also has the only functional airport in the state.
Things to do in Dimapur
The pasta was great! Nice ambience and clean and nice place. The menu is very reasonably priced unlike kfc or other fast food joints.Would recommend to everyone for a quick bite or to just sit and chill out with friends and family.
After attending the Hornbill Festival, we were on return journey. After few days of struggling with food, we are looking for some chicken and rice. We found this KFC outlet besides our hotel at Dimapur. Location is good, sitting arrangements, service and everything is fine. I loved to take my meal at here.
Situated at the centre location just near Big Bazaar, one can visit and enjoy with family and friend.
