Deventer (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈdeːvəntər] ( listen)) is a city and municipality in the Salland region of the province of Overijssel, Netherlands. In 2017, Deventer had a population of 99,577. The city is largely situated on the east bank of the river IJssel, but also has a small part of its territory on the west bank. In 2005 the municipality of Bathmen (with a population of about 5,000 people) was merged with Deventer as part of a national effort to reduce bureaucracy in the country.

Pity that the experience was not good this time. 2 years ago we celebrated Valentines Day here and we liked the cozyness, the personal attention and the special menu for the occasion. In the mean-time, the restaurant has been enlarged and the addition in which we sat, does not have the same feel.We missed the special menu.Most of all, we missed the personal touch. We have never had so many different people helping us as that evening (9). It felt as if we were part of an industrial process that evening.Pity, because the food was good.

Trattoria Ciao is a very nice restaurant in the center of Deventer. The inside had been nicely decorated and it serves well for couples as well as friends. The service is very friendly and the food excellent. The pricing is something that should also be mentioned, the pizzas are divided into a few price classes: 6â¬, 8â¬, 10⬠and 12,50â¬. The 6⬠ones are more basic, but the value for money is excellent.Would go again!

You won't get a cheaper pizza in Deventer!And next to the prize the best thing is that they even taste good!! If you are on a budget and look for good food that's the place to go! Pasta is only 7 ⬠all of them!!!

This is the place to be to enjoy a great Italian sandwich with great cheese and fresh meat! De owner is such a nice person. You feel very at home in this place. There are just a few tables but that makes it such a wonderfull place. The sandwiches have a good price compare to the other restaurants in town. The place is not on the famous Brink. But you can find it very easily. There also have great coffee!! Just enjoy!!!

This foodbar is a gem. The atmosphere is industrial and very friendly. Once inside the staff made sure we felt welcome and asked if they could bring us something to drink.We couldnât really decide what to order for starters (because the menu is quite extensive) so our waitress Monique helped us by deciding for us.We were happily surprised by a great selection of various antipasti to share presented on a wooden slab.Because the antipasti were so delicious and the concept of sharing food is very nice (and Italian) we continued with the seafood platter to share. This choice did not disappoint. There was a wide array of fish and other seafood and before we knew it everything had been eaten.We finished up with some desserts to share. I didnât have time to take a picture of them because my friends were at the desserts before I knew it. All in all Raffaeles foodbar is a really good and welcoming restaurant. The atmosphere is friendly and not too stiff. You can go here in any company as the restaurant has a secluded corner for people who donât like a loud atmosphere. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone. Bear in mind that it is wise to reserve a table though as the restaurant tends to be fully booked.
