Discover Restaurants offering the best Italian food in Derry, Northern Ireland, United Kingdom. Derry (/ˈdɛri/), officially Londonderry (/ˈlʌndənˌdɛri/), is the second-largest city in Northern Ireland and the fourth-largest city on the island of Ireland. The name Derry is an anglicisation of the Old Irish name Daire (modern Irish: Doire) meaning "oak grove". In 1613, the city was granted a Royal Charter by King James I and gained the "London" prefix to reflect the funding of its construction by the London guilds. While the city is more usually known colloquially as Derry, Londonderry is also commonly used and remains the legal name.

The first thing the waiter told us when we wanted to order was, that they neither still nor sparkling water (how could that happen?). So we ordered diet coke but the flasks the waiter brought us were almost a year over expiration date and warm. Next they brought the starters and main courses after about 45 minutes together. The food was okay.

Disgraceful....had lunch at this place with a number of workmates for a leaving lunch for a colleague. I ordered steak pie which the meat was completely burnt and dried up. Mushy peas that were completely cold and garlic potatoes which where half cooked. Several members of my party commented on it as it was so obvious it was burnt. I pushed most of the meat to the side and showed to a member of staff who I asked to point out to the chef. They did not even have the decency to apologise or make amends. I feel this service was as poor as the food. At no time did anyone approach our party to ask was everything alright. It will be the last time our team eat at this place. I would definitely not recommend this establishment. Additionally I would question the hygiene given the chef had an extremely long beard which was not covered in any way.Hi Tommyk700,We're extremely disappointed with your review and apologise profusely that your lunch specifically wasn't up to our usual high standard on this occasion. We feel that 'disgraceful' is a little exaggerated. If your complaint was handled incorrectly, again we apologise. We endeavour to use all feedback to our advantage in moving foward. We also feel the remaining 13 members of your party were satisfied and it was great to see them return within the same week for lunch with us.

My husband and I had eaten a huge lunch and were not really needing dinner. We decided on having just ice cream which can work around all those crevices in the digestive system that aren't filled with food. Unbeknownst to us, most of the ice cream places close 6-ish. Spaghetti Junction has ice cream on the menu as dessert so we went in and asked if we could take up a table for just ice cream. We were treated like royalty and the ice cream was delicious!thanks so much , was our pleasure !

IFully licensed authentic Indian and Italian Pizzeria with award winning Indian and Italian Chefs.
Myself, husband and 2 kids ate in mama masala at the weekend..... This us a fab restaurant with a really buzzing atmosphere over looking the foyle River. The food is the best Indian food I have ever experienced, the chef will also cook the food to the level of spiciness you like, there is a fantastic range on the menu and they also do Italian if preferred.... The staff are really friendly, helpful and nothing is a bother!! The food is very reasonably priced for what you get, the restaurant is also starting to host a buffet night where you get the opportunity to sample various Indian dishes at only £14:95 per person..... If you are in the area give this restaurant a visit, you will savour every minute!!! Just fab!
