This place is hidden in south shores shopping center by Kroger. If possible go pick up instead of waiting for delivery, it can take up to 90 minutes to show up. That being said its nothing special but is a hell of a deal. 2 large one topping pizzas ,2 liter and a dozen bread sticks for under $20. The bread sticks are swimming in butter and I could eat just those
I try to eat at Monicals on every visit to Illinois. It's a great family restaurant, so a good place to get caught up with friends/family while enjoying a good meal. The pizza is really good, and the Family Pleaser a great option for 3-4 people. Breadsticks are good. They have gluten free options, as well. If you prefer a crispy crust on the gluten free pizza, ask them to cook it a little extra. This is the first time I visited the Decatur location, but the staff was friendly and food good, just like all locations!

We went with our cousin from out of state hoping for a quiet place to have good food and visit. We were seated immediately but waited awhile for a server to acknowledge us. Both hubby and I ordered Tours and cousin had tilapia. My lasagna was very good and had great flavor. Hubby had shrimp scampi that still had tails attached and asparagus underneath which was just strange. Both of us had cheese stuffed ravioli and spaghetti for the second and third dishes of the tour. The ravioli was very good, but the spaghetti was runny, the sauce pretty much flavorless and almost non-existent. Cousin said her tilapia was fishy tasting which it normally isn't and didn't have much flavor. Overall we were very disappointed in what used to be a very nice place to have Italian food. Very average and noisy to boot.
I have been eating here for as long as they have been open. But I now live out of state and make it a point to visit here every time I come home. The sandwiches are outstanding, the spaghetti is wonderful and the garlic and cinnamon bread are fantastic. It is quick and they have great carryout specials. I only wish they were open every day of the week. I was ready to come back on Sunday again but they are closed.

We had just driven in from Tennessee and joined family for dinner. Pizza, salad and breadsticks were delicious. This location has an updated interior without all of the memorabilia on the walls and seemed very clean.

We went in a large group to Monicals recently and were disappointed. Our "steak" pizza just had large slices of roast beef on it so I am not sure how one is supposed to eat it. The beer selection is very limited and all in bottles. No draft. Worst of all one of the chairs broke and a family member fell. No one from the restaurant even acted like they cared. All they did was drag the chair out of the way and acted like they were irritated.

We have eaten here several times, always happy with either pizza or calzones. Not the fanciest of settings, but have always found it to be clean with very friendly staff. Service has always been speedy. Appears they do a large take-out business as well. Prices are very reasonable, I think.

You can get a tub of spaghetti, loaf of garlic bread, torpedo sub and loaf of cinnamon bread for less than $23 (take-out only) for a mid-week special. The bread is a sweet bread and is delicious. They also offer some other pastas and sandwiches. The "Uncle Tony" is a hot sandwich and is my favorite.
