We specialize in traditional and modern Italian dishes using locally sourced produce. In addition to our traditional menu we offer daily specials to compliment everyone taste. Benvenuti , Luigi`s Italian restaurant is a privately owned restaurant.Situated
We only had a short time to enjoy a meal in lovely Sandwich and so popped into Luigiâs for the first time. We explained we were short on time and the manageress responded immediately, bringing our orders (sea bass ravioli and risotto pescatori) piping hot with drinks in very little time indeed. We appreciated the relaxed atmosphere in a beamed (former barn?) room with open kitchen. There is no doubt about the professionalism, good hygiene and quality. Somewhat noisy when full and toilets could perhaps do with an upgrade but would recommend it highly.

Welcome and benvenuti to Dover's longest going family run restaurant.Dino's traditional Italian Restaurant is tucked away in Dover's most sought after street right in the heart of the town. The restaurant has been established since 1977 and is a firm favor
Just moved in to Dover and tried this restaurant with a friend based on a recommendation from a colleague. And I must say, this restaurant just became my new favourite spot here. So lovely! Atmosphere- great, service- excellent, prices- wonderful, food? - immaculate! So nice! Uau! Speechless how welcomed we felt, we are coming again next week. Bravo!

We tried this relarively new restaurant for Dinner on Saturday night before going to the Astor. The meal was not good.We asked for water and were brought two glasses which had ice that was stale and tainted the normally excellent taste of the local tap water.I decided to have the plate of smoked Tuna and Swordfish to start. It was plated up in a very unimaginative way and so cold the fish was almost frozen masking any subtlety of taste. Whereas my wife had homemade Ravioli which was very good.I mentioned the coldness of the fish, but was left with a complete lack of interest from the waitress. For main i ordered pork escalopes in a fennel and lemon sauce and my wife had see bass and prawn. We were bitterly disappointed when it came. The pork sauce looked almost purplish and was thickened with flour lacking any real taste of lemon or fennel masking meat that was tough having been overcooked. My wife ate the fish but left the prawn tail which was also overcooked. Even worse were the vegetables of the day, which were carrots and brocolli spears. The carrots certainly appeared to have been reheated and both over cooked. The saute potatoes were also soggy and again were not freshly cooked, being soggy and clearly reheated in a microwave. Indeed we heard the mictowave pinging in the kitchen just before service. This was a truly awful meal and not worthy of the standards that other Deal resturants offer. We grudgingly paid and certainly would not recommend or go again.

We visited on 31 July 2019. The place was large and cavernous. This wouldn't normally be a problem, but it was our Wedding Anniversary and despite advising the waiter, he sat us next to a table of women who were out to get drunk. We would have preferred a quieter area of the restaurant where we could have talked without having to shout. It was a busy time i.e. the 7.30pm sitting so the restaurant was busy and being the tourist season it was frantic. The starter was okay I had the Mozzarella and tomato with vine leaves. The main course was the Parmigiana which was quite nice although a part of the chicken didn't feel like it had been cooked so I didn't eat all of it. The dessert was the cheesecake which was slightly disappointing as it hadn't set properly, but at least you knew it was home-made. I had a small bottle of Prosecco. I think overall if it hadn't been so busy it all wouldn't felt very rushed. Not sure if I could recommend it, would need to go back. My husband said that his Swordfish meal was incredibly salty. We didn't have any wines, so at £60 it was quite expensive for what it was.

The pasta dishes are simple but well cooked and very tasty, the Irish coffee was also very good. The service we had was fine but then again the restaurant wasnât too busy. The restaurant decor is nice but not the best for the waitress with a small spiral staircase that needed to be negotiated while carrying up trays of food and drinks and she didnât seem to be the best at multi tasking so was up and down far more than was necessary.

Went for lunch with low expectstions and came away very, very satisfied and well fed. Italian restaurants can be dull but Salentinos is really good. The Sauces are exceptional, the portion sizes generous, the wine list excellent and affordable and the service superb. We will be returning on a regular basis
